Like many of the guests we return year after year to this hotel and to Nerja.
The service is friendly and efficient with all staff at pains to be helpful.
Rooms range from clean, spacious but basic to the newly refurbished, well designed modern rooms.
Also, for 2011 the pool and the terrace have had a complete and impressive makeover and now offer views to the coast and sea, also there is now a small gym and spa.
The location of the hotel is fine for us with popular beaches and town centre a 20 minute walk away.
We always have a relaxing and enjoyable and value for money holiday.

On arrival, we were greeted with courtesy and respect. This was maintained by all the hotel staff throughout the week. The room was modern and adequately furnished, the bathroom was of a very high standard, both being cleaned thoroughley every day.The hotel has a good standard of entertainment every night, our favourite being the Flamenco.
There is a Gym,Spa and Sauna ,but we preffered to laze by the outdoor pool with waiter service.Nerja is a beautiful old Spanish town with good shopping and eating facilities but still we ate in the hotel every night as there was always a good choice. The beach is 15 mins walk from the hotel , but you need a taxi back as it is a climb. The best part of the hols was the care and consideration of all the staff. The worst was the ban on smoking now in force in all spanish bars... Still a great holiday

I am writing this in the hotel lounge on the last day of my stay.
The Hotel is small and spotlessly clean. Quite quiet at this time of year which we like..
The hotel has recently had a partial makeover.. Some of the rooms have been nicely renovated and they have added a very very nice spa area with jacuzzi and keep fit equipment.
The public areas are very comfortable and I am making use of the FREE WiFi as I make this report. Food is quite basic but you cant complain when you think about what it has cost..
There is entertainment every night, although several of their acts are past there 'use by' date.. One artiste in particular advertises himself with a photograph that must have been taken 30 years earlier !!
The Pool area is excellent with lots of sun beds and shady spots to sit...
I have been staying in one of the refurbished rooms and it has been very nicely done.. especially the bathroom. The only bad part from my point of view is the bed..It does not seem to have been included in the upgrade and is too short for anyone over 6ft .
I am on B & B basis and I am a little disappointed with the breakfast. It is pretty much exactly the same every day and the selection is poor.. You would think that in a country like spain they could run to a drop of fresh Orange juice with breakfast, but instead they have a vending machine that dispenses a strange tasting chemical cocktail that bears little resemblance to pure juice .. Tea and coffee is also from a vending machine, which is not good.
Despite those few negative remarks I still come back year after year... the place grows on you and its so relaxed and easy going. This is my third stay and I am sure I will be popping in again next year.

One last rant.... and I hope the management read this.....
If you happen to be hungry between 3pm and 7.30pm you had better walk to town.
You cant get anything more than a bag of crisps during these hours... a strange way to carry on ..

We have just returned from our 9th time at the Nerja Club. The changes to the hotel are wonderful, it has had a refurb to the bar, rooms and pool area. They have also added a gym and a spa. thankfully they didn't change the staff as they are ALL kind, polite and very helpful. We are returning in Septemeber and would recommend giving the hotel a visit and enjoy the same care that we get when we stay there.

Just returned from the Nerja Club Hotel after a very pleasant weeks break. We travelled with Thomson on a deal booked via the net only paid £540 for the two of us half board.
The coach journey from Malaga to the hotel was pretty bad, after collecting our luggage and been told what number coach to look for we eventually found the coach with quite a number of people already seated so assumed we would soon be off to the hotel, no such luck had to waite for other flights to land so sat on the coach for over an hour, we already expected a two hour drive so the extra hour didnt help it was as long as the flight.
We arrived at our hotel after 4 other drop offs, and as we were the only people going to the Nerja Club we had an excellent and quick check in, and were shown to our room
The room was newly decorated and very bright (252) but the bathroom let it down badly very outdated and small, just needed the bath removed and a walk in shower which would have given loads more space to move around apart from the bathroom needing an update we were happy with the room and it was spotlessly clean.
The hotel wasnt full, so very comfortable, happy hour between 5-30 and 6-30 glass of wine and a pint 2 euro 50, Snacks at lunchtime very good especially the king prawns in Piri Piri sauce mmmm good value at 8 Euro. We were half board, breakfast was OK not the usual loads of choice but it is only a Thomson TT, the evening meals were good always a fish dish and several meat options, and of course the usual sald choice.
for what we paid we were very happy, a bottle of wine at dinner was 9 Euro, you could buy it by the glass if you wished. The entertainment for a small OK wasnt bad weve had alot worse in 4 and 5 star hotels. Would we go back, unlikely only because it takes about an hour to walk to the resort centre, and its up hill all the way back, we did know this\when we booked but hoped there would be more going on close to the Hotel, there was a bus stop opposite but if you wanted to go into the centre for lunch you had to waite till after 5 to get back as the buses stop from 1pm to 5pm and useing taxis every day to get back would have added to waht started out as a good deal. there was one other small hotel close by where you could go for a drink or snack and there was a sports club opposite but not much else, we would definately go back to Nerja as we like the area very much but to a hotel closer to the centre.
One other piece of advice, when we were there the Thomson notice board showed Tues and Sunday times of pick up but not Fridays the reception staff had to contact Thomson to get the details and they were very slow in calling back, we couldnt work out why Thomson couldnt fax through the times to the hotel, who could have than displayed the times, so be aware of this if you travel on a Friday, all the people we came back with at our hotel were going to E-mail Thomson and complain, we travel with them at least 5 times a year and have stayed in Hotels with no Rep but always found all the info we needed on the Thomson notice board.
Hope this is helpful if I can be of further help please contact me

The refurbishment of this hotel has been so very worthwhile, we have stayed three times and are due to visit again in May. The staff are exceptionally helpful, pleasant and nothing is too much trouble . The standard of cleanliness is superb, the dining facilities are great and very good value for money. The outdoor facilities together with the new Spa, Gym etc., are lovely and equal to , if not much better, than lots of other hotels in Nerja/Spain We are looking forward to our next holiday at the Nerja Club very much indeed.

This was our first stay at the Club Nerja but our third in the resort. The hotel is easy to find, just off the maim through road. The hotel has all the facillities one requires, is very clean and staffed by friendly and helpful English speaking employees.
The fooms are a little basic but fully functional and the maid service is excellent.
It is slightly out of town and a 15 minute stroll down to the nearest beach but represents excellent value for money.
The food is excellent, buffet service with an adequate choice so I can recommend a 'half board' tarriff.

Room Tip: Would stay again!
