“Beautiful building ...”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

... just a shame there's so little of any interest in it! And at 4 Euros, definitely not worth the ticket price.

“Great option for a cloudy day”
Reviewed 7 April 2014

If you are interested in the history of the area then this is a great option for a couple of hours, especially if the weather is being a bit inclement.
The venue doesn't jump out at you as it is tucked away a bit, in the top left hand corner of Plaza de Espana, the square above the underground car park in the centre of Nerja. Look out for entrance deals including both the museum and the caves, as the two are closely linked.

“Interesting”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

After a visit to the Nerja Caves we decided to continue out tour in the Museum. Located In the Plaza Espana where non of the locals have been opened it felt like we were about to enter a disaster zone. The Museum is set on 4 floors with many hi-tech features and tv monitors to explain the display items in 4 languages. It was interesting however not a lot to see. Total time spent was less than half an hour. including the questionaire which was available on a computer on the way out. The price was 4€ which, although by no means expensive,, did not give any value for the money

“the museum”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

very expensive for what you actually get to see. There is not a lot to show for itself. Although tastefully done, and lots of reading information. Not much to actually see.

“good for history”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

The main attraction here is the 360 degree audio visual film - but it wasnt working on our visit so we were disappointed. (there was a small notice where you buy the tickets from) I hope they get it fixed soon. Many of the historical displays have english information. I understand it is only free for EU citizens on a sunday afternoon. a lot fo things are replicas, but that didnt bother us. Museum also has info on wildlife etc, but method of displaying this rather old fashioned.
