Basic seating is all that lets this great wee place down. Oscar is full of fun and was happy to play bona vista social club for my father in law. His wife Julie is a great chef and always smiling. Free tapas with every bottle of wine on top of large portions of delicious food .I was even up dancing with Oscar after my mojito.(and I am usually quite shy ) Situated in the corner next to Asian Bens

Julie's is so good we dined there three nights during our seven day stay. The tapas are delicious and offer a vast selection for veggies. It's not just the food that is good, the ambience and friendly service created by Oscar are amazing. Please visit, you will not be disappointed.

After reading the reviews here I was determined to find Julies. Found it eventually hidden in the far corner of the courtyard of restaurants. The Tapas was delicious and varied. The kids loved the sausage and meatball dishes. We even stayed for the brownie desert :-)
Great food, friendly and welcoming staff. Worth a visit!

We went here last night as a family group. The Welcome from Oscar (the Cuban guy) was lovely. We enjoyed various drinks, including the mojitos which we thought were delicious. The food was by far the best we have had in Nerja. Every dish was delicious. We also had dessert which was an unusual almond cake which was equally delicious. With two small children, eating out can sometimes feel stressful, the staff made us feel relaxed and were very nice to the kids. The atmosphere was great. I just wish this place was near me at home so I could go all the time. We loved it.

We went here with our two teenagers on recommendation from friend, we were not disappointed, as others have said this is not a big establishment which at first glance doesn't look like anything special, however you are greeted very warmly, even though we got there 10 minutes before opening time we were told to come in and had the two most amazing mojitos we have ever had while waiting for food. We ordered two tapas each as well as drinks all which came to 42euros and had enough left for ice cream while watching the sun go down in town. The food was so delicious with not just Spanish influence but Cuban spice thrown in too. It works! Wanted to sample everything on menu as a result we will definitely be back. Only slight criticism would be it became busy before we left as is very popular and they don't seem to take bookings so would advice to go as close to there 7pm opening time as possible, as they got busy seemed to only have two of them running around and had a bit of wait to pay bill, but really nit picking here as didn't,t bother us. Would not go to nerja without visiting this place!
