Me and my husband stayed at the Hotel Plaza Cavana for 4 nights from the 6th June 2014 and loved it!

As soon as the taxi pulled up in the square I fell in love with it!

The hotel is in an excellent location, on it's doorstep there are cafes, bars and restaurants. The beach is a 5 minute walk as are a number of other bars and restaurants.
The whole area is clean and tidy with a lovely gentle hustle bustle feel about it.

The staff at the Plaza Cavana were friendly, welcoming and helpful and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean and well decorated.

Our room was an inside facing room and although small it provided everything we needed and again was spotless and well decorated. We never had any noise disturbance throughout our stay. Our one and only (very slight) disappoinment was with the shower, it had no power to it and showering was quite hard work. In fairness we never took our issues with the shower to reception, which goes to show how little an annoyance it was.

The breakfast room is bright and airy and pretty and the food was very good with a selection of pastries, breads, cereals, cooked breakfast, fruit and yoghurts.

Roof terrace is really nice, there is a small bar where you can get drinks and snacks and a small pool with loungers, there is also a great view.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay in Nerja and will definately be booking to go back and stay at the lovely Hotel Cavana Plaza.

This was my second visit to this hotel having enjoyed it the first time round.. This time it was even better they have moved the breakfast room from the basement and that was the only thing wrong last time. The rooms are bright clean and lovely. The staff are helpful, great rooftop pool made better now there is also the snack bar open. Nerja is a fantastic place and you cannot beat the location of this hotel. Can't wait to go back!

We have just returned from a week at this hotel and can only say positive things about it. We were concerned after reading some reviews that the location could be noisy. However we had a lovely front corner room with 2 small balconies (not big enough for chairs), could just hear usual hustle and bustle during day and at night we just closed shutters and windows and used A/C and had absolutely no problems with any noise. The room and all the public areas are beautifully clean and maintained, with towels and sheets regularly changed. We had B&B and were really impressed with the selection of fresh fruits, cereals, meats, breads, pastries, cheeses and also hot bacon, sausage and eggs. Plenty of juices, coffee and teas too. The breakfast staff were excellent and kept everything topped up, nothing too much trouble. In fact every member of staff we had contact with, reception, housekeepers etc were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooftop terrace and small pool were again exceptionally clean, well maintained and a lovely bar area for snacks, drinks etc. The hotel is the perfect location for a visit to Nerja. This was our 3rd visit to the town but first time at Plaza Cavana Hotel, we will certainly use this hotel again

Room Tip: If you want to be at the front of the hotel overlooking the pretty plaza be aware you may want to ke...

Stayed five days and will definitely be back. The room I had was new; the bathroom was huge and super clean, great fixtures and large shower. Nice rooftop pool, and the location was damn near perfect. Staff was nice. You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: If you can get a room in the newer part, it is quieter and super nice.

The Hotel is in a fantastically central position. And you can get to it by road, which isn't the case for a lot of Hotels in central Nerja, so if you have a car you are able to pull up outside the hotel.
The Hotel has an underground car park, which you have to enter via a drive in elevator - it's a tight squeeze!! Car park is €10 per day.
We had the room on the corner overlooking the square and side street. During the day a fantastic position. Late night and early morning though is another matter as the cages and restaurants pack up their tables and chairs and take deliveries all of which are noisy! Ear plugs would deftly help. The room was comfortable, with ensuite shower and toilet.
The hotel has a non heated pool at the top, 3rd floor, with about 12 sun beds. There is a bar and snack bar which serves burgers and sandwiches etc. for lunch, ice creams, beers, soft drinks and cocktails. We enjoyed this area, but in May the water was cold!!
There is a indoor pool on -1 floor, I saw it but never used it. It did look nice.
The staff were really helpful with whatever we asked help with.
Apparently there are new and old rooms, I think our room was am old room, but it was clean and comfortable. The beds were made daily and the room cleaned.
I would return but would request a room at the back of the hotel!

Room Tip: If you sleep through anything a room over the square, if you get woken by noise the back of the hote...

Really enjoyed my stay. Arrived early hours in the morning and received a friendly greeting.
Room was simple but modern, spacious, clean and had everything I needed - ample wardrobe, fridge, good hair dryer, safe, bath and shower and a comfy bed. My room overlooked the courtyard so was quiet, my nephew had a smaller room over looking the side street...would have found that one a little too small for my liking and probably a bit noisier but fine with him.
Pool area was small but again fine - perfect for cooling off and had plenty of comfy sun loungers and good music.
Breakfast was good - cereals, different breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, fruit and variety of teas, juices and coffee.
Great location - minutes to El Balcón, heladerias and restaurantes.
Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed here for 7 nights as a rest was urgently needed by both of us. We had a room over the square and it was a good size clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was adequate for us although a rail on the wall to aid transfers in and out of bath would have been helpful, to a younger person this would not apply . The weather was good generally but we had 2days of cloud and some rain but for the time of the year March/ April no grumbles from us. The room was quiet at night as everything closed down by midnight and I only heard stragglers going home when we had the doors open it was minimal, daresay in the busier times of the summer it could be worse. When the doors were closed it was quiet we did not use the air con so cannot comment on that. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of food and beverages. The croissants and pastries were not as I like them as they were pre-packed and not crisp like they are when fresh from a bakery. The bread and rolls were fresh . We sat in several cafes and tappas bars and wathched the world go by and had a good meal in all the restaurants we went to. We can recommend Fernando along the Calle Malaga opposite the boules and childrens playground just before where the little bus pulls in. It is the local Correos and a type of bodega just 2 tables outside on the street and inside was a cave of wines olive oil etc to buy. His fried patatas are to die for and the food is very good freshly cooked while you wait. We are returning shortlyt toPlaza Nervana Nerja because we really did not have enough time to explore and we were so relaxed we just sat ate and drank the wine and soaked up the atmosphere. I cannot wait!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in a superior room overlooking the square it was charming we liked the atmosphere and the...
