“Lovely Spanish hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

Booked on line after reading reviews of this hotel. Small family run hotel, we had a room on the 4th floor with great view over pool and to the sea. Huge bed if a bit hard. Clean and tidy, fresh towels every day. Breakfast amazing with selection of sliced, fresh fruit, juices, pastries, cakes, breads, cooked items, lovely individually made, fresh coffee. Everything prepared/cooked and served by owner and his wife, who appreciate you trying some Spanish!
Spoke to some regular German guests who have been staying every year for years. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only let down was that the wifi did not always work in our room. No lift, which we knew about so not suitable for people who can't climb stairs, as breakfast room only accessed via stairs also but this wasn't a problem for us!

Small hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Great location too. Nice pool and seating area. Back entrance is quite near beach while front entrance is near centre.

Room Tip: Request a balcony

Stayed at the lovely hotel from the 22nd to the 29th March as it was the reviews of this hotel by others that convinced me that it was worth a try.

What an absolute gem of a hotel - the rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and bed linen- and everywhere is spotless which is a sign of the dedication to attention by the family members of staff.

Fridge, kettle and safe in the room with a 19" flat screen television and balcony view towards the sea.
Breakfasts start at 08:30am and were delicious with ample helpings of fresh fruit and yoghurt, or fried eggs etc, toast, and various fruit juices with freshly brewed coffee which was brought to your table by the mother/or grandmother each morning.

Outside their is an alleyway that runs behind the hotel and out to the car park which leads down to a great little restaurant which is really cheap called "Little Italy" and of course Annie's bar which serves a great pint of cold Guinness.

Local buses are dirt cheap with a trip up to Frigiliana a must, at a euro each way.
For the adventurous there is a bus at 06:30am to take you to Granada to visit the Alhambra which is an absolute must but you need at least 3-4 hours to take in all the sights and visit the palaces and grounds. The return fare was 16.68 euros with an admission fee of 14 euros.
The hotel made me a packed breakfast to take with me which was also an added bonus.

All in all a wonderful experience and Nerja is indeed a great destination- which is not too busy at the time of year that I travelled

Nice hotel, hard working staff.
Hope they forgive us breaking bottle of Lemoncello in room.
Not special but an average to good hotel close to beaches and the old town.
Really enjoyed our stay in Nerja.

Was really impressed with this hotel for what we paid. The room was big with a king size bed and a large bathroom, very clean and nicely decorated. The staff are nice and friendly, especially the receptionist who stood on the road outside and saved us a parking space whilst we went and fetched the car from the public car park.Breakfast was lovely, highly recommend the homemade tortilla.Location is very good, just a short walk to the Balcon. The only negative is it's really hard to get a parking space outside the hotel, unless you pay 12 euros to park in the public car park.
Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Just back from a great weekend at this hotel. Have been to Nerja many times but first time staying in this hotel. Its a lovely small hotel. Ideal location just a couple of minutes walk to the bars and restaurants. Rooms are cosy and good size with fridge, TV and free wifi. Maid in every day leaving fresh towels etc. Swimming pool and pool area looked lovely but we didn't use it as it is February. Breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay here.
Great location - in quiet area but close to restaurants bars etc and an easy stroll to the centre / beach.Rooms good size with small fridge. Good TV reception with range of UK channels - nice to have on while getting ready to go out. Large balconies if in upper room facing car park/sea. Good shower. Free wifi. Good choices at breakfast if you are happy with Continental. Didn't eat any other meals here so don't know about other food. Very clean.
Downsides. Bed not a double - two very flimsy singles pushed together - not comfortable and too small for a tall man. Drain smell in bathroom sometimes and toilet moved rather precariously! No privacy on the balconies.Pool and pool area very small - if everyone staying in hotel used the pool area it would be a nightmare - in fact it would just not accommodate them all. Thankfully that did not happen but area was crowded with the couples and one family who did use the pool area.
Staff (family) were pleasant. Good choice for a basic hotel.
