Located in the heart of 'the old town' restaurants galore, some with terraces overlooking the beach, which is only a few minutes walk from the apartments. The apartment was basic & dated but very clean. We were given at first a small room overlooking the road which had a very small balcony. We asked to change, which turned out a mistake on our part as the room we then were given had no balcony & a bit gloomy, this was on the first floor.Only one room has it own terrace & two rooms have table & chairs outside on one of the two communal terraces. The pool is more of a plunge pool but handy for a cool down.Parking near the apartments is a bit hit & miss but you will find spaces in the nearby streets or ask Pepe about the public car park,he can supply you with a card at a discount. The staff are very helpful & keep the whole building very clean.

Good value hotel, very clean and well equipped apartment, friendly staff, right in the middle of nerja and 2 minutes to restraunts and bars, a restraunt right opposite, the room was comfortable, there is a swimming pool on the roof,
All in all very good value for money, and I would stay here again

Room Tip: Roof top rooms will be quiet

Just returned from a weeks stay at Pepe Mesa, in a one bedroom apartment
Great location in the heart of the wonderful Nerja.
Apartments were basic but very clean, with all facilities including air con, with heat settings for them cooler evening's.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a winter break in an excellent setting at a great price

Stayed last May, We have stayed in Nerja a lot over the years in SC apartments mainly .Great value for money family run place, immaculate. Rooms well equipped but dated kitchen, Comfortable beds. Rooms like a bedsit. no balconies. very clean but not cleaned during my weeks stay & I had no means of even sweeping the floor which would have been happy to do . The roof terrace was lacking functional umbrellas or sunbeds & once we had managed to fix a couple of umbrellas up - there were plenty of english tourists ready to pounce & grab themselves a space under them . The rooftop plunge pool is not great all enclosed in a cage for safety i expect- but hey its clean cool & Wet !!!. The recession has hit hard Pepe is busy running his merendero at the beach, sadly the old cellar restaurant on the ground floor is no longer open. But for the cost it is an excellent base.

Room Tip: ask for the roof top rooms they at least have outside space but its not very private as others can u...

This is a glorious place - make no mistake about it. An attractive building inside with a tiled interior courtyard and plants outside various apartments. We stayed there in early November 2012 initially for 4 nights and then returned later in the month for a further 3 nights.as we were so pleased with our initial stay. On our first visit we stayed in Apt 10 on the first floor with a small balcony that got the sun for most of the day as per our request when we booked with Booking.com. This was a lovely spacious apartment, tastefully designed, flat screen T.V. that picked up a couple of BBC Channels (although TV is not a major issue on holidays, it is however nice to be able to pick up News/Weather etc now and then). We were really very pleased with our accommodation. There is a sunroof at the top of the building for sun bathing etc and as we were exploring we noticed one apartment that had its own patio area with sun beds, table/chairs etc and were most envious. On our return visit we were more than delighted to realise that we had been allocated Apt 21 on the top floor and it was the apartment with the private terrace. Pros and cons to this apartment. Absolutely great to have our own private terrace with sun beds etc as even in November one can sunbathe! However Apt 21 is in poor repair, very run down really quite low grade whereas Apt 10 on the 1st floor is in great nick, much larger and by and large more comfortable. Also in Apt 21 the T.V. didn't work at all! So overall my advice is , depending on the time of year of your visit is to request an apartment that gets the sun during the day, albeit on a large or small balcony. In November there are apartments that are very cold and get no sun at all. Overall a superb place to stay, great value for money but just be careful in what apartment you are allocated.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment that gets the sun during the day

spent a wonderful week here in the pepe mesa studios. the room was well equipped and we had everything necessary. the whole place was so clean and the staff were very kind and friendly. on arrival I discovered that I had left my bag on the bus and the owner pepe, went out of his way to retrieve my bag for me.and it was returned to me the next day. pepe mesa is in a great location and is very close to the beach and the balcony of europe. a visit to the nerja caves was very worthwhile . I would definitely go back and have no hesitation in recommending to others..

Spent 7 nights at Pepe Mesa in a studio. The room was small but had everything we needed - small kitchenette with toaster, microwave, hotplate, kettle etc. There was plenty of storage space, TV (with UK channels - it rained a lot when we were there!!) and separate bathroom with shower/half bath etc.
Bed was comfortable and our request for an extra blanket was no problem. We had a studio facing the C/ los Huertos - it had a very small balcony with a couple of chairs on - but it would be difficult to sit out. Pepe Mesa is excellent value for money and situated only a few minutes walk to plenty of restaurants etc. Check in was really quick - we arrived late at 10pm, also if you have trouble finding parking, ask at Reception for a reduced price ticket for the large central car park (pedestrian access opposite hotel). Upstairs roof terrace has good views of mountains.

Room Tip: Try for an apartment on the top floor opposite the swimming pool - they have a sitting out area in f...
