We have just spent a week at this hotel, from 06/10 - 13/10, and it was close to being the best holiday we have ever had. Having tried the larger hotels for the last few years, we had become a little bit disillusioned with the so-called entertainment, and wanted to try somewhere a lot smaller and quieter. Well, we could not have chosen better, and shall certainly make a point of returning in the future. The room,(106), was a standard double, and had everything you could wish for, and was only about 10 yards from the pool. The terrace was quite large, and offered privacy from the others. The food in the brasserie was superb, both in its presentation and quality, we ate there 3 times. On our last day, we ate in the hotel bar, and it was one of the best pizzas we have had. The staff at the hotel are brilliant, and will do anything for you, nothing is too much trouble. While its situation is a bit out of the town centre, we quite liked this aspect of it, as we could do a bit of walking.
Nerja itself is a lively resort, with something for everybody, and ice cream like you've never tasted! Although there were lots of people about, there was no rowdiness, and it felt very comfortable being out and about.
If there has to be any criticism, then a downside is that the hotel bar acts as the local ex-pats pub, and they certainly take advantage of "happy hour", (5 till 8), and the live music twice weekly, so to have a nice quiet pre-dinner drink might be difficult. Didn't bother us too much as we went down to the town those nights.

Just returned from this hotel, stayed for two nights really wasn't long enough. Rooms were lovely, clean and tidy. The balcony was huge. Staff very helpful, food was lovely, the nicest pizza I've had in a long time. Only down side was that's its a bit far out but that wouldn't put me of going back. The food in the restaurant was beautiful and it stayed open until 11.00pm.

Room Tip: Can't remember room number but top floor the best. Corner room had a very large balcony.

We have just returned from a week in Hotel Los Arcos. We have never been to Nerja but knew a few people that had. I read the reviews on trip advisor and decided to book this hotel. We were not disappointed. This hotel is small, spotless, relaxed and very welcoming.

It is situated about half a mile from the beach on a reasonable hill, but it is a really pleasant walk through the pretty streets of Nerja.

We had a lovely break here and can't wait to return, would highly recommend this hotel and Nerja.

Having never been to Nerja in Spain I reviewed the local hotels and was impressed with the reviews at Los Arcos and we were not disappointed one bit, the staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and just couldn't do enough for us.
We had one of the 17 rooms and it was in excellent condition, with everything we needed, and a lovely patio which got the sun each morning.
We ate in the restaurant (Special Tapas Menu) twice, and the food was excellent and a very competive price.
Happy hour 5 - 8pm each night, and as has been mentioned before, it was well attended by ex-pats living in the area, and live music on 2 nights we were there.
The pool had plenty of loungers and space and the water was a nice temperature, so most afternoons we spent getting the 4 to 6.30 sunshine before heading out.

Room Tip: We chose to upgrade as the reviews suggested and the one we were given was superb, even though we di...

We stayed at Los Arcos only for a day as we passed b through Nerja on our way to Seville. The hotel is very cozy, very comfortable with a huge balcony. The pool area is particularly nice with lots of space to relax and the pool is nice too.. the staff is very friendly and warm. they let us use the beach towels and the pool even after we checked out as the rooms were fully booked. The beach is a 2-3 mins car drive and parking is usually not a problem. A very cozy experience.

Room Tip: nice clean room, balcony, safe, fridge, big bed

This hotel does look like a 3-star one but these were the best 3 stars I've ever seen. A pleasant lobby, a spacious room (with tea, little fridge, old-style TV, a lot of storage space), wonderful staff, very nice bar and pool and a restaurant (Gourmet Tapas) to recommend. On top of that, the hotel is in a perfect location. Very easy to reach by car, it also has a bus stop nearby. The sea is within 20 minutes walk, but thanks to that the area is very quiet. The city centre is further away, but for that you get a much nicer villa district. Parking on site is limited to 5 or 6 cars only, but you can use the nearby streets without a problem. The area is very calm and safe. The hotel is also situated on the way from Nerja to the famous Nerja Caves (a must), which can be reached by foot within half an hour.

Two disadvantages are: a rather limited (though nice, except coffee) breakfast, and the WiFi available almost exclusively in the lobby (do try in the room though, you may be lucky).

You can get a room with a direct access from the balcony to the swimming pool, which we had, but then be prepared to a little less privacy.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights 14th September, with my Parents and 8 month old baby. The hotel knew us from a previous stay and as we were arriving early with the baby, had a room made up ready for us with a Cot so we could unpack and put the baby down for her sleep.

This Superior room (110) was huge, with plenty of room for the Cot. It also had an adequate sized balcony. The room was on the first floor and you stepped out straight by the pool. It was large with a small fridge adequate for bottled water and milk, a kettle and a safe (chargeable). We had a balcony looking up towards the mountains, which had two sun loungers, 2 chairs and a table.

Being a small hotel we found the staff to be so attentive and helpful. Breakfast was included in our rate; there was fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread rolls, cheese, ham, salami, croissants, toast, sausages, beans, bacon and eggs. There were also a couple of different types of Spanish pastry or cakes.

The pool area is lovely, with plenty of sun loungers for enjoying the Spanish sunshine and it was so peaceful. On the days spent relaxing by the pool we enjoyed sandwiches for lunch, very reasonably priced and yummy, however did not eat in the Hotel restaurant as we ventured out in to the town in the evenings. The bar is well stocked and serves various types of wine, beers, cocktails and smoothies, and has happy hour (2x1) from 5-8pm daily.

Burriana beach was a 15 minute walk down hill, or a 7/8 Euro taxi drive if you couldn’t cope with the climb back up. The Balcon de Europe was fantastic we walked it on several occasions, took about 25 minutes and is great for bars, restaurants and people watching.

With regards to the hotel if you are looking for a lively 18/30s hotel then this is not for you, however for a more relaxing quiet break with plenty of bars and restaurants close by then its perfect.

Room Tip: Pay the extra to get a Superior room as they are bigger.
