We have just returned from the Rosas de Capistrano apartments and have had a wonderful week. We were a little disapointed with the view from the balcony as we were overlooking the roof of the supermarket, but as we used the apartment for a base, we were not too bothered.
The apartment was well laid out and the kitchen was more than we needed. We didn't bother with the TV.
We had a small issue with the pillows and bed sheet, the sheet was far too small and when we asked for an extra, the reception didn't seem to sure about the request and we didn't get one until the sheets were changed. The pillow was a very strange affair indeed.
The bathroom was OK, the shower rail fell down but we got that sorted. It does seem that we had a few niggles, but the apartment was good for us.
The actual layout of the facility is good and the gardens are lovely. There was only one swimming pool open while we were there and there was a lack of sunbeds, but the pool area was very nice when quiet.
There are two fantastic supermarkets just round the corner with everything you could need, large boxes of strawberries for two euros made for lovely breakfasts.
There is a tennis club behind the apartments with a nice bar and a municipal swimming pool just up the road which we were told was amazing and you could go and use the gym for very little cost.
What made our holiday was the town of Nerja, with its winding streets, many tapas bars and restaurants and the beautiful Balcon for an evening stroll. It is a fair walk as is the beach, but if you take your time and explore the town, you come across some lovely places for a drink, with many of the bars offering a free tapas.
It is a pleasant walk to the Caves of Nerja, well worth a trip and also the pretty village of Maro, although there is not much there.
Being cat lovers, we paid our regular evening visit to the cat colony living beneath the Balcon, taking our little treat of ham and I hope we return to see them one day when we visit the lovely town of Nerja.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view.

Thank you for staying in our apartments. We have several types of apartments, all with pool area and garden views. We offer lower price for those apartments with views to the terrace of the adjacent supermarket.

Apartment was clean, nice location, friendly people and two good supermarkets nearby. Everything was in good distance and enjoyed the walk. The receptionists were extremely helpful and helped us with all our queries. The free WiFi by the pool was great and our apartment was within a good distance from the pool so we had access great access to WiFi.

Very clean spacious fresh smelling apartment with large balcony. Balcony gets the sun later afternoon. Very happy with everything. There is a nice swimming pool too. It was cool at night time (early April) and warm during the day (approx 24 degrees) but the apartment was fine in terms of temperature at all times.

From a self catering point of view, the essentials are there. We made breakfast/ lunch there every day. 2 supermarkets right next door with everything you need.

No cleaning during our 6 day stay but it wasn't a problem. They gave us clean towels mid week. Furniture is your typical holiday apartment furniture. Bedroom had two single beds rather than a double, with a double sofa bed in the living room area.

Easy walk to the centre of things, about 20 to 30 mins. The walk back from the beach is a bit steep though. We had a car so it wasn't an issue. Were able to find parking both in the town and at the apartments at all times - might be a bit more challenging at high season.

I recommend these apartments because the price is great and they are clean, quiet and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Make sure to book a garden view apartment as apparently the other ones are dark and dingy - we had a...

My partner and me take a week's break in Spring and a week in Autumn. We took our Spring break in Nerja. What a beautiful resort this is.
Our accommodation was at Apartamentos Las Rosas de Capistrano and the apartment was clean and surprisingly spacious. It was equipped more than adequately and everything we needed for a pleasant stay was present. The reception wasn't open all the time, but it is Spain, and that is part of the charm. We were left to do as we pleased, which is how we like it. Any dealings we had with the people at reception were a positive experience.
The apartments are a good walk from the many beaches, up a steep hill, but the exercise did us good.
Excellent apartments in a beautiful resort full of laid back and helpful people.

When we arrived at the apartments we drove by the reception as it was closed. We found the gates to the apartments locked and uncertainty was beginning to set in so we drove back to the reception wondering what to do next and spotted the message on the notice board that the keys could be picked up from a Hotel across the road. What a relief.

The apartments are situated on a steep hill some distance from the sea and centre of Nerja. We were glad we had a car to get around in and at this time of year parking was not a problem.
The grounds of the apartments were nice, welcoming and well kept. A big plus was the good supermarket right next door. Ideal for self catering.

The one bed apartment was basic, clean, a bit tired and was a little cold first thing in the morning. At night in the bedroom you can hear the flow of water from the apartment above which was disturbing at times.

The kitchen was well equipped and included a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer, a four ringed electric hob and full oven but with only a grill pan, an oven shelf would have been useful.

The maid service consisted of towels and bed linen being changed once during the week and no cleaning was included during the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment in one of the apartment blocks with a view of the gardens as there is a block o...

Just got back from one week break at Las Rosas: great place to stay. Lovely clean accommodation and pool, and very helpful staff. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing break. It is quite a hike from Nerja Old Town - we like walking and it took us about 20 minutes but understand there is a regular bus into the town centre. Loved the beach to the left of Le Balcon de Europe. For a fabulous meal, try the Maria Bonita grill on your right as you go down the steep road on the approach to Burriana Beach (known locally as "cardiac hill" - you will find out why!!): It's a very steep return journey but good for walking off dinner.

Room Tip: Our room was B12 I think - ground floor facing the pool in Las Rosas II (the apartments on the right...

We arrived around 1 o'clock in the morning and had to pick our keys up from the hotel opposit, this was the only downside to the holiday as we were not aware of this and walked around for a while before we found a note on the reception door telling us were to pick the keys up. The rest of the holiday was perfect, The beach is a short 10 min walk but it is down a steep hill but a taxi back was only €7 and well worth the walk, it is a beautiful beach with lovely clear sea. The appartments have a poolside bar run by Hussani, he made our holiday even more enjoyable, he is so helpfully and very funny, it would be a shame if he ever left, defiantly going back next year.
