Friendly and helpful staff, great location right next to the harbour, the old town and the beach and convenient infrastructure. This hostel offers everything a backpacker needs at very reasonable prices.

After getting off of the ferry from Morocco, it was a lovely day in Tarifa and I decided to stay the night rather than moving straight to the next city. According to the tourist information centre, Melting Pot was the closest hostel, so I walked down the road and had no trouble finding the place and checking in. It was a public holiday, so nothing in the area was open, but the hostel was clean and fairly quiet. The showers wre hot, although the showerhead and hose weren't mounted to the wall, which was a little annoying, but not impossible to deal with. Breakfast was simple, but there was plenty of food available.

I have seen some hostels, but this one is definitely my favourite!!! Full of really friendly, open and talkative travellers- which creates an awesome atmosphere!! Additionally the rooms are nice and clean and the roof-top view is just astonishing! And the staff was the nicest I ever met!!! I can really recommend the hostel to other young travellers!!

ahh, I so much enjoyed this fantastic, quiet, clean and friendly place! Tarifa was a welcoming surprise and a lovely place after the buzz of Malaga. I enjoyed strolling the friendly little town. the hostel lends out bycicles and it is an amazing and relaxing ride out to the sanddunes of valdevaqueros. Dive centres are 2 just on the harbour, thats about 5 minutes from the hostel. The hostel has a 2 storey terrace that looks out to the ocean. no smoking in the hostel, fully equipped big kitchen for the guests, free internet, cosy lounge, a cat to cuddle and friendly staff... what more would one ask for?

This hostel is a cozzy one in Tarifa, situated in the perfect position between the center, the port and the main beach. From the bus station u can walk 10 minutes or take a cheap cab.

Building is nice and comfrotable. Staff kind and they put nice music. Terrace is also amazing. Rooms are nice if u consider is a hostel. It could be better (doors sometimes are noisy, and the security boxes are really noisy), but u cant complain if u consider it like a hostel.

I cant give 5 star cause the bathrooms are just 2 (the ones in common I mean), and sometimes u have long line to have a shower, and worse if u have to go bathroom. Also, at midnight u have to leave the parts in common, sometimes can be a problem if u are having nice conversation with somebody in the hostel. But u can go out and continue the story in some bar in the center...

Anyway, I stayed really good,

Located 2 minutes away from the ferry / long beach and a 10 minute walk away from
the bus station. When we arrived, we weren't too pleased with the slow service and
by our extremely small double room with only one pillow. After questioning
downgrading to the dorms, we realized that we had payed only 0.50 euros more that
those staying in 6-person dorms, so we decided to stay in the double room. The
Internet connection was terrible and it was very noisy as they were doing
renovations around the hostel. Breakfast is included, but don't expect more than
coffee, bread and jam. Besides our not-so-good first impression, the staff were very
accommodating when my sister got sick... They checked up on her very often and
offered many times to take her to the nearest clinic. At the hostel, we were able to
buy our ticket for the fast-ferry, and could've booked windsurfing camps had we been
interested (a little pricy!!).

I stayed here in July 2012 for one night and it was fine. Dormitory style rooms with small but adequate lockers. Free wi-fi and a nice kitchen. A little tricky to find but its a grand location for one night. Roughly about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Good value, would stay there again for the night if I am just passing through.
