Three lovely yurts in a remote rural setting, with well-appointed kitchen and shower blocks shared between them and a lovely garden all around - it sounds like camping, but it doesn't feel like it - the yurts have tiled floors, rugs, wonderful vintage furniture and richly-coloured soft furnishings. The site is over 1km down an unpaved track, so a hire car is a good idea, but local beaches are amazing and just a few minutes drive away. Owners Saira & Denny were friendly and helpful.
Night skies are full of stars, but also abound with the sound of dogs barking, donkeys neighing and cockerels crowing - all v bucolic, but you may want to make use of the ear-plugs in the kitchen!
This is a windy area (nearby hills are swathed in wind turbines), which can make it tricky to relax when the sand is being whipped up at the beach, but when the wind is low the numerous nearby beaches are stunning places - sandy, flat, clear water, not too busy. Kite surfers paradise. Yurts are lovely and cosy, whatever the state of the weather.

Our party of four climbed the hill which the communal kitchen/patio rests against to see the amazing view of Africa. We befriended the animals, enjoyed the scenery on the patio, slept shockingly well in the yurt (every single one of us despite allergies/sinus infections!!) and woke up to a homemade breakfast on the picnic table outside the yurt.Completely charming and memorable place to stay!

My husband and I are delighted to have discovered this little piece of heaven! We spent two blissful nights in the Sirocco yurt which was handmade by Denny and kept us completely cosy despite the windy weather. The furnishings are beautiful and designed for lounging! We needed to rest and the peace and quiet and privacy allowed us to do just that. The communal facilities (kitchen and bathroom) are spotless and well designed and the views from the kitchen are sublime. You can walk through the countryside to the old town of Tarifa and the fields were full of wild spring flowers when we stayed, which was stunning. I would highly recommend the breakfast - having a tray of scrumptious goodies delivered to the yurt felt very luxurious. We live in Morocco and will be back here whenever we need some time out.

The yurtz are magnificant! A very cosy and romantic place to stay in my opinion. The kitchen is very well equiped and the shared bathroom offers everything you need. If you have the time, rent the bikes they have and do a ride along the coast. It's not always an easy ride because of the wind bu you will have some really nice sights.

My family and I loved our stay at Saira and Denny's beautiful campus...the yurts were comfortable and cozy...the grounds were spectacular. Most of all, we enjoyed their company and the environment they created. The outdoor spaces around the yurts were perfect --- just the kind of outdoors beauty we wanted on our 10 days in southern Spain. Saira's cooking -- both breakfast and her veggie restaurant in Tarifa -- we're Lso highlights of our stay! Thanks for a fabulous segment of our holiday.

We traveled to Southern Spain in April and LOVED our stay at Yurts, Tarifa! Having only seen yurts on the whale birthing bays in Baja California, I was not expecting the luxury of Saira and Denny's yurts. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the sheets, comforters were blissful and we loved the sound of the wind outside and the fireplace inside the yurt. The decor is all Moroccan, Africa and Turkish textiles which was lovely. Out breakfast of homemade tortillas, eggs, fruit and coffee was delivered to our door in the AM and was absolutely delicious. The walkways, as another traveler mentioned - are lit with little fairy lights, the landscaping is lovely. We met two other couples and shared wine, cheese, olives and stories with very good company while sitting on the porch off of the well stocked, and very charming kitchen. The bathrooms were immaculate and had beautiful counters, pretty decor and are as nice (if not nicer) than many hotel bathrooms. We didn't find the distance to town a problem at all, we were back and forth several times, lovely shopping in Old Town Tarifa, and a grocery on the way to pick up any snacks/beverages or picnic supplies that you want. We actually loved the drive up to the Yurts as there are fields on both sides, beautiful views and so many wildflowers, my husband picked me a bouquet and it is one of my favorite photos of the trip! There was no problems accessing the Internet, we had a great connection. Saira and Denny were charming and personable hosts and the Yurts are truly a magical and unique place to stay!
