Tarifa can be very windy, but behind the trees of Arte Vida you'll find a nice comfy oasis without that wind. Good music, cocktails and enough places to sit or hangout, this is just a great 'cherenguito'. (If you are looking for a quiet place to stay for a couple days, you are probably too old for this place...we just stayed here for the beachclub, but are glad that is was not our hotel. I guess we're too old ;) )

If relaxing is what you need and some good ol beach time, this is your place! the people are very nice and the hotel is designed to grab a drink, look at beautiful women and relax on beach beds in front of your room. The rooms are basic and clean. Perfect for a couple of days. And Absolutely perfect if your traveling to Morocco! Very windy and perfect for para-sailing and flying kites!

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms, and they are all nice! Load music untill11pm.

Not the boutique hotel in its description but a clean and well positioned small hotel. Staff lovely with one notable exception who was so unfriendly that we would have gone elsewhere if it wasn't late at night. Breakfast good but evening meal variable. After virtually raw chicken we ate in Tarifa town. Fantastic location for windsurfing and kitesurfing and excellent school and hire centre on site with Fanatic boards and North Sails. Not part of hotel but on site.
Rooms clean and perfect area for chilling out while watching water. Beach bar can get crowded but mojiitos worth it. 1 hour walk to Tarifa along very windy beach or 10 minute drive.
No air con and you need a car.

We couldn't be happier with this establishment. Very laid back, low key vibe, comfortable, clean and fronting to a beautiful beach with blue water and soft sand. Warning, the wind can be strong at times, it is a surfing and kite surfing area. For our trip there were periods of strong wind and periods with only a breeze. The restaurant is fantastic and the staff is helpful. From Tarifa, drive east on Carretera Nacional 340 to KM 73, and watch for the sign on the left. Plenty of parking by the hotel is free. They can also set up a tour to Morroco for you. Rooms are basic but big by european standards. Breakfast is included in the room price.

Room Tip: Truely it doesn't really matter as no room has a valuable view. Most are oceanfront rooms which face out to a social, couch area. You won't spend any time in your room with a beach this fabulous, even napping can be done on numerous couches outside that would fit 2 or 3 people.
