The service and food are good, however, I found it a little pricey for what we had. There is allot of restaurant competition in the area and have found cheaper places for the same quality.

Superb food. On 1st visit we had sea bass and a pasta dish which both were delicious. After seeing other customers food coming out and talking to them we decided to go back the next day and had baby ribs ( so yummy) and leg of lamb for 2. Yet again food was beautiful. Best we had on our holiday.
Isabella was such a friendly and knowledgeable staff who can recommend superb dishes on the menu to suit your taste.
we are definitely returning in November

The food here is very very good and Maria is an excellent host. The view is wonderful and it is a great shame they are not busier as compared to all the other restaurants who serve the same old rubbish they certainly have a an edge.I think people seem to miss them as they are upstairs which is a great shame. Please do not walk past, you will not be disappointed with the food,or view and Maria is lovely

We ate at El Mago on the last night of our holiday and wish we'd found it sooner. The food was brilliant and the service by the young Swedish waitress was friendly and efficient. I had the Fillet Steak which was the largest and tastiest I'd had all week. The restaurant was very quiet, but I suspect that they suffer from prospective customers mistaking the restaurant, which is upstairs, with the one below, which is a shame because the food here really is excellent!

My boyfriend and I ate dinner here during a recent long weekend in Tenerife. Decided to go on Sunday night after Carlos' was closed. Tenerife is full of a number of British and American style restaurants and this place seemed good in comparison (that said I didn't eat at the other places). The food was above average and cheap with our bill coming to less than €50 (2 x mains, 1 x dessert, 1 x bottle of wine). As with others we were hassled by the downstairs establishment on the way in, Gran Paella, in terms of decor/atmosphere there isn't much going on at the restaurant. All in all we enjoyed or meal but not sure we would seek it out a second time.
