An interesting old house with some beautiful original features like oak panelling, fresco ceilings and intricate plasterwork throughout. There are lots of lovely sitting areas, a TV room, music centre, tea & coffee to make whenever you want it, mini bars in the bedrooms and a sauna room, in fact, everything you need. Continental breakfast is self-service in two dining rooms with a good selection plus fresh juice, fruit, coffee, eggs, breads, cheese, ham. The manager and his assistant Jessica are very friendly and helpful and are happy to respond to any requests, definitely a good place to stay in La Orotava.

Spent a week at Hotel Alhambra a perfect base for exploring northern Tenerife. In September It was quiet (Nov-March is peak). The hotel is African influenced in style and a real treat. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom with bath and separate shower. It has several quiet lounges and a shade terrace next to a small pool. On arrival the Director gives a short history of the building and the artist Ortazzo. The hotel only has 6 rooms and so is very peaceful. The town of La Orotava is lovely and easy to walk around and has several nice places to eat (tapas or more). It is probably best for people who have hired a car and wish to explore. In particular one should visit the Volcano Centre and find out the different walks/ hikes one the volcano. The landscape on the volcano is unlike anything we have seen. Great place for a 2-4 day visit or longer if you like to laze around in elegant historic surroundings. Lastly, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. hotel Alhambra is a real gem of a boutique hotel.

We stayed for four nights in La Palma room. Lovely views of Teide & the coast from this room, bright & airy. 2 Single Beds in the room reasonably comfortable but not great. Large bathroom, good shower, all very clean. Central location and walking distance to Orotava. The hotel is lovely & quiet but does have a local church close by which does have regular bells chiming fortunately not during the night. If you are a light sleeper the frogs from the local pond area may keep you awake during the night. The local school is also close by and has regular sirens for classroom attendance etc. Breakfast is served in one of the many grand rooms. A good variety & selection. All in all an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in this hotel in February this year. It had a lovely atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The decor is quirky but lovely and our bathroom was definitely one of the most attractive and luxurious I have encountered, the huge bath just the thing as the weather was not too kind! The room was very spacious with views of a snow covered Mt. Teide ...quite spectacular. There are lots of other guest spaces to relax in but it was too cold for the garden or pool. It is well situated with some very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We would definitely return.

Hotel Alhambra is simply a unique gem in Orotava. This is definitely a different place than the usual resort. An enchanting boutique hotel with history and art, greatly run by Jordi and his team. The room (Palma) was large with a very comfortable bathroom and with view on the Teide and the sea. The hotel has a small swimming pool for few people that makes the hotel even more premium. Breakfast was delicious too! A true jewel in Tenerife!
