“Great location, fantastic staff, good value”
Reviewed 18 December 2012

We only had 24 hours in Figueres and we booked the St Ferran Castle Pack. The staff were very helpful, understanding and organising the trip to fit in with our timetable. The hotel is very central, our immaculate room overlooked the famous Face of Dali memorial in the Rambla where there are restaurants and bars. It is only a few minutes walk to the Dali Museum. We enjoyed the trip around the castle enormously, the boat trip in the fresh water tanks was a highlight, there were very few other tourists and there's also a bar there to help soak up the atmosphere.
We accidentally left some clothes behind at the hotel and the staff went out of their way to help return them to us in England a couple of weeks later. Excellent service.
We traveled by train from Barcelona, the hotel's a pleasant walk from the station. Plenty of trains but don't forget to check which station you need to use in Barcelona.

We got off the train, caught taxi to centre of town then found this hotel. It's ideally situated for visit to Theatro Dali museum. Great staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms are small as always in Europe budget hotels. Luggage must be opened on bed then put away but we are quite used to this. The large deck over the back street was a welcome surprise. As we were on the main street we didn't bother with hotel breakfast. We never use the mini bars either. They do a deal with a restaurant at the top of the plaza. The food there was shocking. Meal was cold on a raining night miserable. We then walked around the street behind it to find a fantastic restaurant where all the locals eat. It's opposite the tourism office. Perfecto. Be warned that you can hear every sound in the hallways and showering in the neighbouring room but then this is budget hotel in Europe.

Room Tip: We had room with balcony but I suspect rooms looking over Ramblas are bigger so do ask to look at th...

Perfect service and wonderful view over the city.
The room was very clean and it was quiet in the night.

Been there with our kids. The hotel is located in the center of the city, walking distance to every where. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacios. The parking is tricky - the street is packed, the parking of the hotel is in near by building, very dense and limited.

I can only echo the comments of Marisa P in her review - we had the same experience in summer 2011 - an extremely rude male receptionist who seemed to be in cahoots with the cleaning staff who apparently reported drinks missing from the mini-bar for which we were then charged -even though we did not touch any of the drinks in the mini-bar! We had a very noisy room overlooking the end of the main square - do not be tempted to stay here at a weekend or during a festival, or if you do, request a room at the back without a view. Plus steep parking charges and a very, very tight entrance to the underground car park.

Room Tip: We had a very noisy room overlooking the end of the main square - do not be tempted to stay here at...

A small but very accommodating modern hotel with nice comfortable rooms and well equipped bathrooms. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Salvador Dali’s hometown with all the actions of the main square (Rambla) and tourist attractions. The hotel has underground parking in another building around the corner. The breakfast I would skip. It’s not worth the money. You have plenty of other places offering the same basic Spanish breakfast of less money. However, for lunch or dinner contact the reception. The hotel has an arrangement with a nice restaurant at the Rambla for menus at a discount price. You pay the hotel and present the voucher at the restaurant.

You really are at the heart of the city with this hotel, overlooking the Rambla square (with a nice Dali artwork). The rooms are clean and practical, staff is friendly and overall our experience was very good. One challenge is the parking garage: driving there isn't for the faint of heart (very narrow & cramped), but that's the price you pay for being able to leave your car in the middle of the city into a nice location.

Room Tip: Try to get to the top floor: the Rambla Square can be noisy.
