My wife and I returned to Littlecote after a twelve year gap. We were not disappointed as the stay was perfect. Much of this is due to the staff who are in all respects excellent. The entertainment staff were particularly good. The young lady who took us on a historic tour of the old building was a brilliant actress. As usual with Warners the room was clean and comfortable.
We tried Oliver's Bistro which is a speciality restaurant charging £15 per head for residents. The food was sublime. Altogether a really good break.

We are glad you had a good short break with us and that after such a long time since your last visit you were not disappointed. It's particularly good to hear you chose to dine in Oliver's on one evening and that you enjoyed the food there so much!! From the whole Lilttlecote team thank you for a lovely review.

Our group of eight met on holiday in India and have an annual reunion. As it was our tenth anniversary we splashed out on a midweek two night break at Littlecote House. The accommodation and meals worked well for us. We appreciated having our table ready for us to eat together. I was not pleased to be charged more than originally agreed for the supplement to eat in the Bistro, but this was rectified speedily when I complained. We enjoyed the pool and wandering around the old house and grounds. We joined in some quizzes but largely made our own entertainment as a group, rather than rely on the entertainment programme. The almost constant musak in the restaurant and bar was annoying. The original house is architecturally interesting but feels empty and unused, despite some furnishings, a small museum and several displays of information. The Roman villa site in the grounds has a superb mosaic floor, which is well worth a visit. The star of the place was the resident cat, who ruled the reception area.

Room Tip: The historic rooms are in the original house with dedicated parking. Other rooms are in a modern bl...

First time at a Warners Hotel after many recommendations from family and friends. And how inpressed we were! We were going as an adult family of 8 to celebrate a 60th birthday.
My husband and I arrived first, and it was only 11 am. We knew that we couldn't book in until 3pm and we were really surprised when the 2 efficient receptionists gave us four sets of keys that were ready and waiting. Whilst we waited for the rest of our family we took the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the complex. And how lovely it is. The drive down to Littlecote House Hotel certainly had the 'wow' factor-really breathtaking. And it got better. The grounds were beautiful with so many suntraps and places where you could be private if you wanted.
The staff were brilliant, from the men that helped you unload your car and took your luggage to rooms, to the entertainment team, to the waiters, bar staff and chefs (special mention of waiter Artur who 'dressed' our birthday table). No complaints here.
The only thing that was a little upsetting was that virtually every activity we were interested in to join was fully booked! It seems that most people were return guests and knew to either book beforehand or as soon as they arrived. However, we did manage our own putting competition and snooker match!
We did manage to book for the history tour of the house which cost £3 each. This was worth every penny, with the entertainment staff acting superbly the historic people who have resided there. The birthday boy and his wife also went on the 11pm ghost walk. This was also £3 each and they were suitably terrified!
The rooms were spacious and very clean with large double beds and plenty of storage. Our party had 2 Standard rooms and 2 Signature rooms. The Signature rooms had a small patio and a fridge, but the Standards were completely acceptable.
All in all a lovely weekend away. We are already looking at further visits.

Thank you for your wonderful review, it's brilliant to hear you had such a good weekend and first time experience with us. As you mentioned the house does have the WOW factor and the team here are very proud of it so it is always good to hear that our guests have made the most of all Littlecote House itself has to offer. I am sorry to hear that you did miss out on some of the activties, we do our best to cater for everyone but this is not always possible as we do have to limit numbers on certain activties. However I'ts good to hear you and some of your party were able to enjoy both the house and ghost tours. I do hope you do chose to visit warner again - if not Littlecote then one of our other equally beautiful sites. Thanks once again on behalf of the Littlecote team.

We were a party of 8 celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. We had been allocated 4 of the Historic Rooms in the old house - each was unique and amazing. No sooner had we parked our cars than Henry our host was there to escort us into the Old House and book us in, ably assisted by Christine. Alex - the Old House/Bistro Manager was superb and he and his staff made our Saturday evening Celebration Meal a real treat. Nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon Tea on Sat and Coffee and cake on Sun were equally impressive.
We all enjoyed the range of activities that were on offer and thoroughly enjoyed the Roy Hemmings Soul Evening after our celebration meal.
The grounds and rooms were amazing, the service first class. Entertainment and activities great.

We had a 4 night stay here at the end of September. We have already stayed at four of these hotels and have been very satisfied with the standard. This hotel lived up to expectations. As usual we had a Signature room which when booked as a double has two single beds bolted together which produces an excellent huge bed. The standard of the room was spot on the only very minor quibble was regarding the TV remote. As the TV when switched on always is at a very low volume the up volume button on the remote was very worn and it functioned very erratically which mean that raising the volume was a rather hit and miss affair.
The food was as expected very good but it has pointed out elsewhere coffee after dinner now has a charge which is a little disappointing. The staff were very friendly and we had another excellent break. WE have already booked two further breaks for 2014.

This was our second trip to Littlecote this year and there were disappointing aspects to this visit. We arrived at 2pm, the earliest check in time, with a wheelchair user in our party. The check in process was efficient but things always move a bit slower when you are wielding a wheelchair, so we did not get to the leisure centre to book our activities until 2.45, only to find that all activities, on every day of our visit, were already fully booked! On talking to other disappointed guests, we discovered everything was fully booked by 12.30!! Warners promote all their free activities very heavily in their advertising so this needs to be addressed; either employ more staff and put on more sessions, stop greedy guests from block booking every day, only allow booking from 3pm to be fair to all comers, OR, stop promoting the shooting and archery as though it is available freely to all as it isn't - it is available in tiny numbers to the early arrivers who are fleet of foot and can race to the leisure centre. What a poor show for their disabled guests. Our other gripes on this visit included a slightly tatty bathroom in our upgraded room, crumbling sealant around the shower, a stained bath towel and meanest of all, Warners now charge for tea and coffee after dinner! As their prices are by no means cheap this seems like such penny pincher. We have been regular visitors with disabled companions but will think twice about going again which is such a shame as there are plus points. C'mon Warners! Listen to your guests for once!

I was worried about going to Littlecote as I had enjoyed it so much years ago and didn't want it to have deteriorated. This certainly wasn't the case and I think it was even better than before because of the excellent entertainment staff. I just loved going to the old part of the house again and we had a lovely walk to the roman mosaic. I would love it if time team did some more excavations as I think there is so much more to the site.

We were there for the mick jagger tribute and I was amazed because it was so good and we enjoyed the dancing and singing. We joined in the quizzes and did some golf putting and we certainly walked a mile a day especially from our room it was so far away! We visited Hungerford and Salisbury and Winchester which were all enjoyable. We could have gone on the coach trips but we had already done that. I enjoyed looking at the craft shop too.

The dining was good too and staff really friendly and the room was very comfortable.

Overall the trip was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the stream and dovecote it's a lovely view and quiet and not so far t...
