On arrival was greeted by porters who took luggage away to be delivered to room. No queues to check in which was efficient. Had a quick walk round and then went for coffee in the late bar, again quick to serve, but staff not particularly friendly. Went to room a out an hour after checking in and luggage still not arrived, so went back down to reception and luggage was still there,so took it to the room ourselves. Room on 2nd floor was very spacious and clean but very dark even at midday, plenty of storage and very comfy bed.
Meal in main dining room were on the whole good, but not a lot of buffet choice, waiter service was excellent.
Evening entertainment cannot really comment as didn't watch or take part in.
During the day not really much choice to sit if you wanted somewhere quiet apart from the hall in the main house which is a short walk from the main accommodation hotel and if it raining a little off putting, also no bar in the old house and getting coffee there was a little wait especially after dinner.
Oliver's the fine dining restaurant the food the excellent especially the chocolate fondant with cherry ice-cream. The staff very professional.
Overall Littlecote is good but doesn't have the wow factor of Thorsby Hall.
