“Better than Average Pub Grub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

Hungerford has lacked a large selection of good pub food for quite sometime. The Plume does it's best to fill this gap. I've eaten there numerous times for both lunch & dinner. For lunch the menu varies from club sandwiches to special like soup & sandwiches of the day. The menu board, available for both lunch & dinner, has constant favourites such as gammon with eggs & chips, burgers, chicken ceaser salad and BBQ ribs. There are also seasonal specials added to the board throughout the year.
The restaurant is cozy with a friendly staff. In the cold months there is always a warm fire burning in the small fireplace at the back of the restaurant. Within Hungerford it has become a staple as you can always expect the food to be consistent and the service better than average.

“A fabulous evening out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

We can't praise this highly enough. Four of us went out for the evening. Fabulous Prosecco, beer and bottle of white wine with our equally fabulous meal. All four meals were perfectly cooked and flavoursome. The service was perfect; friendly and attentive. The value for money exceptional.

“Very good meal, friendly staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

Booked to eat here on a recent stay in Hungerford, because of the good ratings on Tripadviser. It lived up to its rating, wife and I both had fish, which was cooked perfectly...the premises is a pub /restaurant, and had a good mix of locals and visitors. Can highly recommend!!

“Nice place to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

Good menu for all - cater for vegetarians and all freshly prepared. Fabulous gammon, egg & chips for the boys and mushroom stroganoff for the girls which was delicious. We were too full for a pudding but next time. Good for mid week supper but next time will try Sunday lunch menu.

“A Gem of a Pub on the High St”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014 via mobile

What a great little find!not knowing the area we wandered for a while before finding this little pub, and were welcomed with our two dogs. We sat in the lovely garden, which just goes on for ages!very quaint and a real sun catcher.
Our only regret was that we didn't have lunch there-the roasts smelt and looked amazing!
