We have just come back from a week at Church Brow Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage is amazing, as is the garden. The stairs are quite challenging but no problem for a short break. The cottage is slightly shabby but this makes it all the more comfortable in our opinion. A lovely open fire makes the evenings very cosy. Just hope you get some fine weather to enjoy eating in the open. There was a tremendous sense of privacy and quiet about the cottage, despite being close to one of the most popular tourist spots in the town.
Kirby Lonsdale was a revelation. An attractive, upmarket town with some very nice shops and places to eat. Best of the lot for food were Plato's and The Sun Inn. A decent chippy too. Booths supermarket is excellent for those who want to self-cater. A great cheese shop. The locals are very friendly.
