the cottage is well placed for easy reach to the lakes and is 2 minutes drive to Kirby Lonsdale which is a historical town, where there is quite a few eating places. this is the third time at this cottage and will be returning.the owners david and tina are there if needed. the cottage itself is a converted barn and very warm and cosy, excellent is all I can say about our stay at this cottage and will certainly be coming back.
Located within a small hamlet and perfectly secluded for a restful break. Ideally located as a base for visiting most of the popular destinations in the area. Comfortable and cosy, so one should return home feeling refreshed.
Biggins barn is clean, warm and a lovely place to stay.
The owners on site are very helpfull, and it was a pleasure to stay there.
Lovely cottage that is a converted barn. Probably a 10-15 minute walk to town in summer but a bit longer in the winter as crossing fields is not possible, Cottage well decorated with dated country collectibles. Owners stay attached to the property should a problem arise. A lovely welcome pack awaited our arrival and there are takeaway outlets in town but a car would be required for this as there is no taxi service in the town. It is not a large town but very picturesque and busy at weekends witrh parking a premium
Just recently returned from our 3rd stay at the wonderful Biggins Grange Barn. As we very rarely make repeat visits to anywhere, to return to the Barn says everything. Lovely accommodation in a very peaceful location and ideally situated to visit the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. Kirkby Lonsdale is also about a mile away and has some excellent pubs and restaurants to try, the Orange Tree, the Snooty Fox and the newly opened Royal Barn to name just a few.
Tina and David, the owners, are wonderful hosts, and, as I have said before, have thought of everything to make one's stay memorable. Thank you yet again, Tina and David.
Cottage has everything you need. We have been before, last time concentrating on visiting the lakes. This time the Yorkshire dales. Superb scenery and we had great weather.
Will come again. Owners make you very welcome.
This was a last minute break for the both of us and an excellent choice. So, hands off, there's nothing to see here so just move on. Charming accommodation. All areas nicely decorated and clean. Peaceful and quiet location. Great views of the balloon flights taking off. Only a short walk into the town. Try the coconut and lime ice cream, it's a must. I think we will be back in the future, not something we often do.
