Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Groupon deal. The room, although small, was comfortable, warm and clean. The welcome was very friendly and all the staff were helpful and efficient. We ate there both evenings - food was lovely and plentiful. Breakfast was high quality and plenty of choice. Our dog was also made to feel very welcome. Would certainly visit again.

We stayed at The Fat Lamb for 2 nights on a cheap deal we found on groupon.
The staff were all great and friendly and you only had to ask if you needed anything. Our deal included an evening meal in the restaurant which was really good, but there is also a bar menu which had loads of choice with proper hearty home cooked dishes. The bar area was cosy with an open fire, friendly guests and lots of cute dogs. The hotel is very dog friendly, we dont have a dog and dont mind dogs but if dogs was an issue for you then it could be a problem.
Breakfast was very good with local produce, just what you need when youre off for a long walk later in the day!
I cant lie, the double room we had was very small, but it was warm, cosy and had all we needed.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay again or stop for a bite to eat if in the area. Lovely country pub!

We hadn't planned to visit here - but after going somewhere else (that turned out to be closed) dropped on here by chance.

What a lovely pub!

We both had and enjoyed the cottage pie. The portions were not huge - but I'd rather have quality rather than quantity, and my partner had room for a dessert.

There's also a nature reserve - you could be lucky and see a red squirrel on the bird table.

We' definitely be back - hopefully next time to stay!

On a wet, cold and windy day we arrived to a warm and friendly reception.

Our check in was quick and easy and made even better when we found our way into the warm bar with a great coal fire and very polite and friendly bar staff.
Our room was in keeping with the feel of the place, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed for two nights and decided to eat in the bar area on both evenings. We were not disappointed. Our meals were excellent and we thought good value for money as well as being very tasty and well presented. Our breakfasts were of the same standard.

We booked this break through an Amazon offer so found it exceptionally good value for money, and the hotel also offers great package deals to.

If your uncomfortable around dog's you might want to consider that the bar area is dog friendly.

Great place, lovely people, tasty food and fantastic countryside!!

We'll be going back again.
