“Tearoom”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

We were visiting Brough Castle and were pleasantly surprised to find this little tearoom. We had tea and scones with butter and jam, they were very nice. Now comes my little complaint, the jam that came with the scones were those little plastic containers with equally plastic jam. Now this tearoom has a a selection of beautiful home made jam and terrific Lemon Curd, I still have it with my toast in the morning, so refreshing. I think it would be great if they would serve their own jams with the scones.

“Delicious icecream made from their own cows milk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

Really nice family business. Icecream is some of the best I have tasted, I had the salted caramel -highly recommended. The milk comes from the farm's herd and the icecream parlour is on the farm. There is an outside space with tables, slides, a wooden fort as well as the remains of Brough Castle to look around. If you are in the area stop by and treat yourself to a fine icecream.
