We called for a pot of tea & light refreshments on our way to Gretna Green. This was the second occasion; the first over two years ago. We were remembered & had a warm conversation about families. The food is delicious & the ice cream selection varied. Also on sale were home made jams. The damson can be highly recommended. Not the cheapest of stops but a relaxing clean venue that caters for all age groups. A free viewing of the adjacent castle makes for a welcome break with local history thrown in as a bonus. The parlour also stocks information on the local areas. Well worth a visit & we shall return again one day.

We called here for breakfast tea and coffee on our way home from camping - we had not had time for breakfast. What can I say - a nice cup of tea and coffee in clean surroundings. Staff could perhaps have been a little more attentive and welcoming, but service was prompt. The ice cream looked very good!

This was a lovely place to look round the ruins of the castle. Plenty of info dotted about about the history. Then we finished off with a lovely ice cream in the tearoom. Some lovely flavours. Yummy!

Really nice ice cream, a great play area for the kids and a castle to explore it also has great views from the top of the hill.

Just read the below review and was disgusted by the lies that the lady has told. I was there with two of my friends enjoying an ice cream when the situation occurred. When the lady got up to say about the panini having butter on it, the owner said in a very polite manner that they could make a new one but she would have to pay for an extra one as it wasn't their fault. I heard the owner say at least 3 times that she would have to pay for an extra one to which she agreed 3 times. When it came for her to pay she was told the amount and she willingly passed over her card. As she was asked to put her pin number into the card she asked if she had been charged twice to which it was repeated again that she had ordered another. It was then that the customer became aggressive and threatening and it was embarrassing to watch. The owners carried themselves in a polite manner and not once held her card for ransom!! That lady should be ashamed of herself for trying to bring a business into disrepute. I would recommend this cafe to anyone.
