It was cold, it was wet, it was windy and the engine was overheating as I pulled into Brough to join the A66 and head east. I managed to park under the bridge of the A66 to check the car, out of the downpour. No signal on my mobile so I walked up the road a little way and there was The Cafe! I collected my wife and found a warm and cosy pleasant atmosphere with a steaming mug of hot chocolate each to cheer us up. After the car engine cooled down it proved terminal so whilst waiting for the very nice man from the AA we enjoyed a good Full English Brekky, crispy bacon, black pudding, mmmm.
We've called in again since, when passing, just for the fun of it!
