“A great spa day experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2013

My friends and I booked a spa day at the serenity spa at seaham hall. We had a wonderful time relaxing and the staff at the spa made it a very enjoyable day.
In particular the ozone restaurant. They met all our dietary requirements and the food was amazing!
Service was excellent and we would definately visit the restaurant again.
The spa was fab and I would most definately be taking advantage of the spa day offers in the near future.

Myself, mam, daughter, daughter in law and aunt have just spent the day and night here. From arriving to leaving the staff are the most fantastic friendly people I have ever met in a hotel. The spa is brilliant we swam we lounged about we had treatments, drank cocktails. We ate lunch in the ozone which my only complaint is they didn't have sandwiches on the menu if you just wanted a snack. Never the less we had sharing platters which were nice. We had our evening meal here as well this was the same menu as lunch. 2 of us had salmon 3 of us had steak no complaints it was delicious. ( the chips are to die for). The rooms are lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel. I've actually just booked to take my husband for his birthday next week can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 15 sea view very spacious with a bath in the corner of the bedroom. Light and airy.

Beautiful Hotel. Fantastic rooms and amenities. From nespresso coffee machine; touch control lighting elemis toiletries in rooms and spa. We have just stayed here for our 10th wedding anniv. We stayed last year when i won a comp through spa breaks. However this time round was even better as it has just had a refurb! We were upgraded to a garden room, well what can i say??!! AMAZING!! We had our own private garden. Although it happened to be raining when we arrived, it cleared so we could sit outside with candles and champagne. Then there's the spa!! We could use the luxurious dressing gowns and slippers in our room to walk through an underground tunnel, surrounded by water features, buddhas, finally to be met by the gorgeous elephant sculpture. The outdoor hot tubs werent spoiled by the heavy rain, it was fab. The jacuzzi bed is amazing. The hamman i heavenly. Loved the ice plunge pools. Aswell as the multi jet massage stations round the pool. Steam room, sauna and solarium also great. Loved being served drinks as chilled round the pool on really comfy loungers. Zen lounge very tranquil. Didnt have a treatment this time, but had a massage and facial last time, fantastic!! Had an amazing meal in the ozone restaurant. The new bar and blumos grill dec looks fabulous. We will defo eat there next time. Overall an amazing, special stay. Could not fault a thing!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who are brilliant. Cant wait to return as soon as possible. In the meantime all you readers - do not think twice about getting yourselves there!! Very highly recommended!! Absolutely love it!!!

The staff make a hotel and Seaham Hall is therefore excellent because its staff are fantastic. From the reception through the restaurants it was fantastic. The Blunos Restaurant is a good addition and the rooms in the old house are just stunning - 6 and 8 can be recommended. The grounds - particularly on a good summer's night are excellent and the breakfast plentiful in the spa restaurant

Went to stay for short break for anniversary. On arrival we were made to feel more than at home. Receptionists couldn't do enough for us. Checked in and was escorted to the room were we stood in amazement and awe of the place.

Massive bed, massive bath, massive thumbs up for the luxurious room, we stayed in a junior suite, had everything we wanted and more, incuding a very, very, very soft bed, this didnt agree with me when sleeping but it was very, soft and comfortable. Did i mention it was massive?

THis break included 3 course evening meal and breakfast, full use of the spa although treaments cost extra.
The meal was good, nothing special but good. It was in the Ozone resturant that is asian inspired cusine, nice touches throughout and staff very attentive. When my starter of chinese spare ribs appeared, they were cold and wasn't too sure if this is how then should have been served. I questioned this and the answer was no, so they took both mine and my wifes meal away and made them fresh and got us the next round of drinks on the house.

Now for breakfast it was full english, pancakes, pastries, toast, juices, coffee, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and kippers. good choice all round and really well presented.

Would recommend to anyone, if i had more money i would go back again but this time stay longer!

Room Tip: Junior suite, all rooms are in the same area

Promised an upgrade to a garden suite but told hotel was full when we arrived. Standard room had dirty windows and shabby furniture which is not acceptable in a 5star hotel. Miraculously a garden suite became available and had been refurbished but still attention to detail lacking. Fridge on floor, coffee machine not plugged in so had to move the sideboard to fix it.Air con not explained so had to fiddle with it late at night.plastic wrap still on bathroom lights etc etc. Size of rooms was good, staff very friendly and try to be helpful, bed very comfortable. Ozone restaurant good but wine list limited and inexpensive but a small coffee £4 each. Breakfast good but bacon over done. Disability access difficult if you want to eat in the Ozone and use the Spa as it means going outside to travel between the hotel and these other facilities. The grounds are lovely.
In conclusion it is not quite a 5 star yet and definitely not as good as Rockcliffe Hall but charging the same prices.

This was truly a lovely experience. We stayed at Seaham Hall as a treat and our expectations were surpassed. The staff were really welcoming and professional in both hotel and the spa.
Hope to be back soon.
What a fabulous place, well done.
