Surrounding were welcoming, we had a seat by fire which was lovely. Food was good and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly. The decor and atmosphere just right and although this was our first visit we felt at home right away. Enjoyable will visit again. My only comment would be that the tables could be wiped down more frequently. But the day we visited it was very busy, so staff may have over looked this.

Thank ADWhit

Heard a few good things about this new Wetherspoons and I do like to try then out... :) To be honest, it's your typical Wetherspoons. Let's face it - they're a chain pub serving cheap food & drinks, but they always seem to manage to keep their heads just above the water, probably because they stay current and modern. Not so keen on the location of this one, though, it's on the high street amongst the shops (which were closed as it was evening). This one would definitely have been better located on the sea front at Seaham. This was a family visit, meals eaten included curries, pulled pork sandwich and a kids meal of cheesy pasta. plus wine and beer for drinks. The food & drinks was all of a good standard and you simply can't complain at the prices. Even managed to run into 3 people I knew in there, which was freaky. :)

I come here regularly for Sunday lunch, I've recommended it to a few people which they've been to and said it was lovely. They then have returned, it is a lovely atmosphere and there seems to be a lot of regular customers creating a great atmosphere.

Oh dear. We first visited this pub last week when the review would have been favourable, so we returned yesterday for steak club with a couple of friends. The problem was, at 8pm the steak, all of it , had run out & there were only gammon steaks & chicken, not really what any of us wanted. We made the best of it, the manageress ( Stacey ) gave us extra drinks, the staff were polite & apologetic, but the catering supplies need to be reviewed. The complete lack of any steak on steak club night is why my rating is poor. I have no complaints about the premises or the staff.
