On a recent cycling trip on Sustrans Route 1 we stayed in several different bed and breakfasts; this was not the most cheerful or welcoming reception we received, viz "are you the bed and breakfast?" There is secure parking for bicycles. The room was large, clean and comfortable, although there were only 3 coat hangers in the wardrobe as well as somebody else's clothes. The TV is tiny. There is no food in the pub, apart from toasties, although the locals are friendly. The cooked breakfast was good. Overall at £50 for a twin room it represents good value for money.
