“Magical Honeymoon Location”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

The most perfect honeymoon location, beautifully located room with an estuary facing view which includes a balcony. Amazing full menu and food was delicious on every occasion. Professional, welcoming and friendly staff. We will definitely be spending our first anniversary here! We recommend this hotel if you want perfection! Nev & Cindy.

Room Tip: Estuary rooms slightly more expensive but really worth it for the amazing view.

We have just returned from a 3 night weekend break at the Blakeney Hotel. It was a few years since we last visited and we were pleased to see that the hotel has been fully, and very tastefully redecorated and refurnished since our last visit in 2009. The service is as good as ever, the staff are obviously very well trained and are very courteous and friendly. The food is also very good although a little more 'neuvo' than it used to be. Call me old fashioned but we like the traditional method of having the meat and vegetables separate on the plate rather than piled on top of one another, but I guess the chef has been watching 'Masterchef' too! The breakfasts are as good as ever. Our room was very nice with a small garden behind it and a door to the garden so we could sit out in the sun. It was room 23 and we would recommend it. Make no bones about it, this is a pricey hotel, and if you are the sort of person who picks over the bill worrying about how much everything costs, then you may stress a bit when you get the bill, but the hotel is very well run and it's in an excellent location, so it is really what you should expect, all things considered. We would certainly recommend the Blakeney for a 'special occasion' visit and we came away feeling very relaxed and refreshed.

Room Tip: If you take your dog, the garden rooms such as room 23 are ideal.

Booked a midweek break in an estuary view room. We were blown away by the room, its balcony and the view (like nothing else we've seen in Norfolk). The hotel pool, gym and spa facilities were also first class. The hotel itself was maintained to a very high standard. Every member of staff we came across was very helpful and polite. Dinner was excellent and I recommend a window table if available. Again, the service ŵas excellent
As was the food. Middle Eastern crab tart, beef fillet, sea bass and desserts were all superb with a varied and well priced wine list. Breakfast the next morning was a feast with lots of fruit, pastries and cereals as well as many cooked options. All in all, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend the Blakeney Hotel wholeheartedly.

Husband booked this for our anniversary and we stayed in room 4, which had an estuary view. Worth every penny to get an estuary view, it really is stunning. Hotel very tastefully decorated (restaurant and bar a little dated), and lovely communal rooms ( be sure to have a coffee in The Lookout).
Very nice swimming pool/sauna/steam.
Food was tasty and the menu tries to cater for all ages and it's mixed age clientele!

Would love to stay again.

Room Tip: Estuary view

We stayed for a couple of nights with our grand children. We were not to sure quite what to expect, but It turned out to be exactly what we wanted, very comfortable family room, and excellent breakfast with loads of fresh fruit. Dinner was good. The children really enjoyed themselves. The staff on the whole were lovely and I would definetly consider a return visit.

This hotel is in a great location with very friendly staff and superb food. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed very comfortable rooms, a selection of lounges and outdoor spaces to sit and relax, a good sized swimming pool and a games room with two table tennis tables and a pool table. The breakfast is of a very high standard with fresh pineapple, mango and strawberries, a selection of breads and pastries, cereals and fresh orange juice. The cooked choices included smoked salmon and scrambled egg, kippers, smoked haddock and kedgeree. The extensive evening menu included black bream, cod, salmon, crab and duck. The dessert trolley held a delightful collection of puddings including fresh strawberries and raspberries, treacle tart, meringues, chocolate torte, cheesecake and various possets and mousses. There was also cheese and biscuits and coffee and truffles included in the price. The hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment and the dining room has not yet been updated but this did not spoil the experience. The staff were efficient and friendly and could not have been more attentive. A wonderful stay.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms in the Granary have outside terraces. The hotel is very warm.

Wonderful view of the tide going out if you go up the stairs. The tea offerings devine. I would love to return for a stay in the hotel and try the other offerings from the hotel and its restaurant. There is some wonderful areas surrounding the property

Room Tip: Take in the sunset
