Mostly the decor was gorgeous, very Armani neutral colours and restful. The bar needs an update from the yellow floral 80s look but the view of the sunset from every window can make you overlook that detail.

My husband and myself went to this hotel for a evening meal with friends who were staying there. The hotel was stunning and sitting in the dinning room looking out over the marshes late evening was spectacular. The food was excellent with a very good menu to choose from.

Visited for an evening meal. Lots of space for groups, or, for couples, a quiet corner can easily be found. Blakeney is top destination in Norfolk. Fabulous cottages down narrow lanes, quayside crabbing for the kids (big or little), spectacular views toward Blakeney Point, and long peaceful walks. The hotel and its restaurant, right on the quay, has superb views too. There are plenty of window seats. So, that’s part of the deal. The village, the views, but what about the service and food. Service was ok, friendly and responsive; not top-notch (my pace setting lacked a fork, which when brought to staff attention led to friendly, jokey exchange, which was ok, but not the efficient professional response some might require). After all the hotel and restaurant clearly have pretensions of being country house (which, of course it isn't). The food? Safe, conservative, easy. This is ok too, but for those looking for something more interesting it could be described as potentially bland. We weren't offered a bread roll (even with soup) till we inquired (although the response here was more professional). £30 per three course meal was good, and because of the fab setting, I think good value.

The most perfect honeymoon location, beautifully located room with an estuary facing view which includes a balcony. Amazing full menu and food was delicious on every occasion. Professional, welcoming and friendly staff. We will definitely be spending our first anniversary here! We recommend this hotel if you want perfection! Nev & Cindy.

Room Tip: Estuary rooms slightly more expensive but really worth it for the amazing view.

We have just returned from a 3 night weekend break at the Blakeney Hotel. It was a few years since we last visited and we were pleased to see that the hotel has been fully, and very tastefully redecorated and refurnished since our last visit in 2009. The service is as good as ever, the staff are obviously very well trained and are very courteous and friendly. The food is also very good although a little more 'neuvo' than it used to be. Call me old fashioned but we like the traditional method of having the meat and vegetables separate on the plate rather than piled on top of one another, but I guess the chef has been watching 'Masterchef' too! The breakfasts are as good as ever. Our room was very nice with a small garden behind it and a door to the garden so we could sit out in the sun. It was room 23 and we would recommend it. Make no bones about it, this is a pricey hotel, and if you are the sort of person who picks over the bill worrying about how much everything costs, then you may stress a bit when you get the bill, but the hotel is very well run and it's in an excellent location, so it is really what you should expect, all things considered. We would certainly recommend the Blakeney for a 'special occasion' visit and we came away feeling very relaxed and refreshed.

Room Tip: If you take your dog, the garden rooms such as room 23 are ideal.

Booked a midweek break in an estuary view room. We were blown away by the room, its balcony and the view (like nothing else we've seen in Norfolk). The hotel pool, gym and spa facilities were also first class. The hotel itself was maintained to a very high standard. Every member of staff we came across was very helpful and polite. Dinner was excellent and I recommend a window table if available. Again, the service ŵas excellent
As was the food. Middle Eastern crab tart, beef fillet, sea bass and desserts were all superb with a varied and well priced wine list. Breakfast the next morning was a feast with lots of fruit, pastries and cereals as well as many cooked options. All in all, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend the Blakeney Hotel wholeheartedly.

Husband booked this for our anniversary and we stayed in room 4, which had an estuary view. Worth every penny to get an estuary view, it really is stunning. Hotel very tastefully decorated (restaurant and bar a little dated), and lovely communal rooms ( be sure to have a coffee in The Lookout).
Very nice swimming pool/sauna/steam.
Food was tasty and the menu tries to cater for all ages and it's mixed age clientele!

Would love to stay again.

Room Tip: Estuary view
