An excellent venue and food, one of the best I've been to on my travels. Good value but I recommend bottles of wine rather than single glasses. Will definitely be visiting again towards the latter of the new year.

Should also mention the service; first class through the whole evening, very attentive and polite.

Everyone should try this place as I'm sure it's one of the best evenings to be had in the county of Norfolk, the menus is definitely large enough for a number of visits and I'm looking forward to trying them all at some stage.

Just returned from a one night stay at this lovely hotel with family to celebrate hubby 's 60th birthday. The staff were friendly, very accommodating, the rooms were comfortable, very clean and the food was excellent! We will definitely return again:-)

We had an extremely relaxing stay, aided by a superb bed and fantastic dining experience. The menu selection was just right - even for my fussy partner!
The staff were highly attentive, polite, funny (thank you, Jarda) and unpretentious which always lifts spirits.
The one gripe we did have was that the room (second floor) was quite chilly but we were provided with a heater which remedied that issue immediately.
Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Don't go for the second floor if it's mid-winter, you feel the cold and prefer a more spacio...

Our 2 night stay was everything the website advertised - and more! I booked the hotel as a surprise weekend away with my husband to celebrate his 40th birthday and I wanted something decadent, relaxed and luxurious - The Norfolk Mead hit the spot completely! The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay ( the blonde lady on reception in particular - as in another review), the hotel and our room was spotless and extremely comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing and unpretentious, and the real fires were so cosy! We would love to find an excuse to return!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, ours faced the front with huge sash windows, we looked in other rooms - all ve...

We had a wonderful Xmas lunch with outstanding service.
A beautiful country house hotel set in unspoilt grounds, backing on to the Norfolk Broads.
Thank you all so much.
Will definitely book for next year!

I stayed here last night and this is the first review I've ever wrote but thought it is definitely worth recommending!

All of the staff here were absolutely wonderful, very friendly and professional, the blonde lady who was working on reception / in restaurant in the evening was very welcoming and friendly.

I had booked the Samphire suite for my partner's birthday, which we both were very pleased with the quality and high standard throughout. The little touches such as, home made brownie, cotton buds/ balls, glass and not plastic cups, bubble bath by the bath (in the room), vanity mirror on the dresser and a full length mirror, fresh milk (in fridge on the landing), window shutters and quality bath mat not the cheap commercial one's! Really do make this hotel stand out from the many we have stayed in!

The hotel has a very warm homely feel, it was nice idea to be able to pop our heads in and look in the unoccupied rooms as the doors are left open. In the evening we were seated in the bar area to relax with a drink whilst our food was being prepared and then was seated in the dining room (again the little touches such as cheese straws and olives go a long way). The food was presented nicely and tasted great!

My only recommendations would be that a sample menu in the welcome pack would of been nice, also the hotel tariffs on the sheet at the front, should be updated to match the prices on their website.

Thank you Norfolk Mead for a perfect night away.

Room Tip: The Samphire suite which had a bath in the bedroom and 4 poster bed, large and bright with two windo...
