It was a great shop with many great products, and thats why it was unfortunate to see very offensive Golliwogs and WWII German ( nazi) goods.
My husband and my family were most distressed. Please do better.

Hello,

As a company, we can completely understand that there are items that many will find offensive. Unfortunately, they are still a part of our country’s history and some private collectors and organisations such as museums will find them of historical interest. It should be noted that such items are widely and readily available to purchase at other antique centres, as well as eBay and auction houses.

We would like to make it abundantly clear that whilst these items were viewed in our centre, they are items that we personally are selling and nor do we condone it. All the space in the centre is divided into units and cabinets that individual dealers rent from us and the items they sell are of their own choosing. As a centre we exercise due diligence to ensure no prohibited or illegal items are sold but for items such as war memorabilia, it does raise difficulties of where do we draw the line as to what can and what can’t be sold? The Korean War saw an estimated 2.5 million people lost their lives, whilst an estimated 1.3 million were lost during the Vietnam War.

We are careful with what we share and promote on our social channels, and these are not items that would be shared. We are somewhat disappointed that this wasn’t raised with us at the time of your visit as we would have been more than happy to discuss it with you and to set out our position.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Best wishes,
Kate Clark, Social Media Manager

What a lovely way to spend an Autumnal afternoon ! First a delicious lunch in the cafe, (in which dogs are made very welcome) followed by a perusal around the many stalls of antiques, bric-a-brac and collectables. Plenty of room to get round on my mobility scooter. Cam well recommend The Warehouse at Setchey if you are looking for that special something !

A lovely place must have been there 2+ hours.
Even managed to find 3 pieces of kaiser pottery.
And the other half spent most of our time in the book section.

We went in the restaurant for a drink and something to eat. Both the tea and cappuccino we had had no taste at all. We didn’t eat in the end as the drinks were that bad we thought the food would be the same

We're most surprised regarding the comments about the tea and coffee as whilst taste is very much subjective, we have always received lots of lovely compliments from people who enjoy both. Nonetheless, we thank you for your review.

Antiques aren’t really my thing so I was a bit reluctant going here but was really impressed!

It first have the dingy feel a lot of these stores have. It was fresh and interesting and I liked the fact everything was almost set out in little rooms so you could take your time and look round each one.

Loads of really interesting stuff… not just antiques but quirky every day stuff too.

Attached you have a Beers of the World store which was fantastic and a great new restaurant also which we made full use of.

Very nice customer service too!
