“Great Service & Food”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Group of us (6) decided on a bike ride to the pub to try it out now its reopened. On arrival the rain started, staff member took all our bikes and put them in a shed at the back to keep them dry!
Great beer, great food and great friendly service at a reasonable price
Will be going back soon.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 7 May 2012

Myself and my fiance were down in Kings Lynn visiting family last week.

We decided to have a trip around the outside of Kings Lynn to see what else was on offer as we have never been down in the are before when we came across the Three Horseshoes.

Because we were driving i was happy to see there was a large car park to keep the car off the road, there is plenty of outside seating for the summer times and a shelter for those who smoke so they are not left entierly to the elements.

The facilities are what you would expect from a local pub/restauraunt which made it all the more endearing. The furnishings are very homely and there was a roaring open fire kept stocked up and cosy!

We chose to sit in the bar/lounge next to the open fire (What with it still being quite chilly outside) however there is a lovely retauraunt too should you choose to dine more formally.

We were looking for good food and good company which we got.

The landlady Loraine was on top form the whole time we were there and made us feel so welcome! There were two other tables who i assume were regulars, but she treated everyone like they were family. The company was so good we stayed on a while after we had ate and spoke with Loraine and her staff into the night until closing (myself being on lemonades).

The food is fantastic! My partner had the full cooked breakfast and there was no issue with substituting his eggs for extra bacon (so fussy) and i had the BBQ Chicken which was amazing! With homemade chips and homemade BBQ Sauce! All great value for money!

Somewhere i will deffinatley go back to visit and gets top marks from me! It is about 5 miles just outside of Kings Lynn in Roydon but worth the 3 minute drive it takes to get there set in amazing English countryside i just found everything about it fantastic.

Top marks for Staff

“Homely and welcoming pub grub!”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

Kat and I visited the Three Horseshoes last week whilst staying at Congham Hall just down the road. After a couple of days of luxury, we really fancied some home-cooked pub food and the Three Horseshoes did not let us down.

The pub itself is endearing - homely and welcoming with a roaring fire and interesting decor. The furnishings are relatively basic, but comfortable nonetheless.

Lorraine the landlady was incredibly friendly and, despite us being the only table booked (it was a only a Wednesday night), she treated us with a huge amount of respect and interest. We did not feel rushed or hurried at any point.

Our food was brilliant - the chicken wings with a homemade BBQ sauce were to DIE for, and we both really enjoyed our generously filled plates of fish and chips and scampi.

We were too full for dessert, which was a shame. But our fullness paid tribute to the affordable prices, as we only paid £31 for two starters, two main courses and two drinks each.

Thank you for having us Lorraine! We will definitely pay you a visit next time we are in Norfolk.

“Excellent choice”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

Enjoyed my visit to this pub/restaraunt. The food is good and a great price. Their speciality is a Sizzler of either steak or chicken, your choice, and is served up sizzling on your platter. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull, The pub itself is very old and has the wooden beams one would expect in this type of public house. There is seating outside and an area for those that need to smoke. There is an ample car park so off road parking is available. The village is small and the pub/restaraunt fits right in unlike some of the modern ones that look totally out of place in some villages. so Good food, good prices and good hospitality. (The sizzlers are on special price and you save on the price if there are two of you).. There are also an assortment of other specials each week.
