Linden Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #3 of 34 King's Lynn B&B and Inns
Reviewed 28 November 2013

It is difficult to find enough superlatives to describe Linden. Cleanliness is probably our first consideration. That, together with the quality of decor, furnishing, linens, fixtures and fittings is quite simply, superb.
It is a cliche to say we couldn't rate it highly enough but quite true as Trip Advised only allows for up to 5 stars!
Despite arriving earlier than expected, we were warmly welcomed with tea and biscuits in the lounge before being shown to our rooms (2 couples).
Our room was warm and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and pond. The carpets, soft furnishings and bed linen appear virtually brand new, and the large bed very comfortable.
A flat-screen TV, WiFi, USB charging points and a radio/alarm with iPod dock are provided.
The bathroom was equipped with an excellent high quality shower and suite with heated and illuminated mirror. Everything exudes "quality".
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and offers of more tea/coffee and toast.
Our visit was simply an overnight stay to visit The Thursford Collection Christmas Show. Not only was the show spectacular, our visit was made complete by Mike and Sue at Linden Bed and Breakfast - just a shame we couldn't stay longer.
It would seem most unkind to not write a good review of Linden but I can't help feeling that I might be making it more difficult to book our return!

Room Tip: "Elm" room is perhaps a little small but beautifully fitted and well equipped. There is a...

A lovely warm greeting on arrival, where there was plenty of parking and had been very, very easy to find.

After making arrangements for meals, I was guided upstairs to a very comfortable, clean and well appointed room, with modern bathroom and beautiful view of the countryside. Warmth was not a problem, with terrific bed linens, functioning radiator and good selection of biscuits and teas.

I dined in house in the lovely dining room on a proper Ploughman's and salad, with fruit to follow. Breakfast the following morning was equally well served and tasty. Directions were provided for the next leg of my trip by my lovely and accommodating hosts. I would have no hesitation in staying in this facility again in the future.

Mike and Sue are a lovely couple who have put together this outstanding B&B. It is without doubt the best B&B my wife and I have ever stayed in and has set a new standard in our minds. The room was well decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. Every imaginable convenience was provided from ipod dock to mist free bathroom mirror.( The shower was turned on by a button in the bedroom which my wife loved). A wide range of teas and coffee, are provided and the room even had a vase of flowers and home made biscuits. An excellent breakfast was taken in a lovely dining room. ( Guests also have use of a large lounge and the garden) Sue is an excellent cook, try her home made yogurt and perhaps buy a pot of her jam to take home we did.. The information package provided is comprehensive giving information on the property, room, places to visit and where to eat. The house is well positioned for visits to Sandringham, Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall, Kings Lynn and the coast. We will be back whenever we are in Norfolk.

Room Tip: Each room is named after a tree and we were in Ash. Our room looked out over the back garden and the...

High standards for a B and B. Quality all round, room was very well equipped and comfortable, very good shower with good quality towels and accessories, hosts were friendly and helpful and had good local knowledge. Breakfast was lush with a very good choice. Above average all round and I would certainly recommend.

The standard and quality of the accomodation reflect the care and attention the owners gave to the refurbishment of this house when they bought it. The same high standards are reflected in the welcome on arrival and the excellent breakfast.
Its situation just off the A148 allows good fast East West travel with many access points down to the coast, and as a further bonus access to many of this area's fine eating establishments.
I almost hesitated to give this review as I do not want to many people knowing about it if it compromises
availability because I personally can't wait to return.

We stayed one night at this gem of a place, warm welcome and great room. Very clean and well decorated. Breakfast was very good. This B&B is better than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in, good value for cost of stay.

Our 'summer' break was excellent in everyway. It is a very modern home with very good facilities and modern, very tasteful decor. The organisation was excellent with choice and flexibility of times. Breakfast was very tasty with attention to detail.

The location was excellent with easy access to the coast, countryside and historic houses.

Room Tip: A quiet location no matter which room is chosen.
