“Fabulous beach ”

Wells Next The Sea Beach

Owner description: At low water, Wells beach has huge open views and mile upon mile of sands and shallow channels to enjoy. When the tide comes in, the beach is transformed into a harbour, with the entrance channel suddenly busy with visiting yachts, fishing boats setting out for the day or returning with their catch, local small boats going out to fish as well as clouds of small sailing boats racing or cruising within the harbour. The golden sands are backed by colourful beach huts which have been the subject of many a painting and postcard. The popular Beach Cafe nearby is perfect for refreshments during your visit.

Absolutely amazing beach. Huge expanse of sand when the sea is out. Cute beach huts. Lovely beach cafe - one of the nicest I’ve seen - food was good too! Can get crowded at first part of beach nearest cafe but walk for 10 mins and you’ll have tons of empty space!

The sandy beach is lovely and the views are amazing. There is parking near the beach café and toilets or you could park within the town and take a leisurely walk along the seafront to the beach or there is also a miniature train that will take you. There are plenty of places to eat in town and amusements, something for everyone.

There isn't much to say except it is the best beach. Our dog loves it, we live it. Stretches for miles, beautiful sand, love to paddle at the waters edge. Beach huts to have a nosy at, sand dunes to sit in after walking a bit. Love it!!

Parking is very close to the beach and there's a good beach café, toilets and easy access to the beach. When the tide is out it's a long walk to reach it and listen for the siren that tells you that it's on the way back in as it travels quite quickly. So don't carry on messing about, especially if you have children with you. There's loads of sand for digging, no "amusements" to eat holes in your wallet and most of the time a breeze and space to fly a kite. Bank holidays are packed and the obvious times such as weekends in the school hols are very busy. Even if it's busy if you walk long the beach past the colourful beach huts you can normally find a good lump of space about 2 or 300 metres from the beach entrance. It's worth walking away from the café, through the gate along the path take the right fork through the woods and getting onto the beach at that end if it's busy and you have a push chair as the sand is soft on the beach

It goes on for ever. Even with hundreds of pe6on it, there is still space to be quiet and enjoy the sun.
