“Could not have been better”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

My sister and I stayed at The Wing for one night last week. Angie and James were really friendly and helpful and we even fell in love with their gorgeous little dog.
Really lovely room with top class facilities and toiletries including a beautiful smelling hand lotion. The location is fantastic being a step away from the sandy beach and shirt walk fro the town.
Great tasting breakfast with fresh baked bread brought an end to our extremely enjoyable stay which we would love to repeat in the future.

Everything a good B&B should be. Angie and James were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The reception rooms are beautifully furnished and the house spotlessly clean. Our en-suite twin bedded room was quietly situated at the back of the house, it was spacious and had tea and coffee making facilities ( the home made cake complemented it perfectly ). -). The sea views from the upstairs sitting room are glorious , comfy armchairs and a telescope in the bay window. Breakfast was freshly cooked and beautifully presented and all too soon we were on our way - wishing we could have stayed longer. Thank you once again, we will be back.

Room Tip: Room 3 was perfect for us, if you need a twin.

North Berwick was recommended by a friend. We booked The Wing after reviewing other Guest Houses in the area and were so glad we had done so. Our choice proved to be just perfect. The accomodation is first class, clean, spacious and homely. Hospitality of our hosts, Jim and Angie, could not be bettered with excellent food and the compliment of home made cake to accompany the afternoon cuppa, what more could you want? We would thoroughly recommend The Wing to friends and family and look forward to a future visit. (Mel and Margaret Lewis and Jim and Helen Bray of Gwent)

I agree with the other reviewers on here that the tourism board should award The Wing with more stars, as this is truly a fantastic place to stay. Very clean, lovely furnishings, delicious food, and wonderful and friendly hosts. Nothing seems to be any trouble for them, as they were kind enough to give us a lift to the train station on our departure since it was raining.

Let's start with the location: It is simply ideal. They are situated directly across from the beach, and the sitting room upstairs has a direct view of it. It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station, and 5 minutes to the centre of town and numerous restaurants. 5 minutes to the Seabird Centre, and a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you to Tantallon Castle.

It is very quiet and peaceful there, and the room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed.
Breakfast was very good, and I already miss Angie's scrambled eggs. Actually, the breakfast had more selection than many of our recent hotels, and was much fresher too. In the late afternoon a sweet snack is left out, be it cake or shortbread it is delicious!

Stayed at The Wing for one night while we were in North Berwick, Angie and James could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. The Wing is just opposite the beach therefore the setting could not be more perfect. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt and delicious home made bread, but the highlight had to be the cooked breakfast. Bbc news playing in the background was a welcome addition too. Rooms very clean and comfortable with all you need in terms of tea/biscuits/toiletries and very quiet too, just what you want when you're getting a night away from the kids! We will definitely be back.

Back for a week with the wife and just as I remembered it back in May this year. Consistently good and deserves more stars than the Scottish Tourist Board have given them. They have 3 and deserve several more. I can only reiterate my comments from earlier this year.

Room Tip: Room 3 has the views of The Law. No bedrooms have a sea view but it's on your doorstep so just s...

My son and I made a 10 day trip to Edinburgh and East Lothian. We stayed in 4 different B&B and our stay at The Wing was one of the most pleasant. We were made to feel very welcome by Jim & Angie ... hospitality plus. The room was bright, clean and roomy. The breakfast was delicious. The location gives easy access to the beach and local shops. I highly recommend The Wing.
