“Book this Bike Tour!”

My daughter and I booked the Castle and Beaches tour - it was the highlight of our trip!
Beautiful scenery and magnificent castles that we more than likely would not have ventured out to visit from Edinburgh if we had not scheduled the bike tour. Train ride from Edinburgh to North Berwick was quick, easy. North Berwick is a beautiful seaside town filled with shops and cafes. Alasdair was an informative, knowledgeable guide, knows his history as well as anecdotal tales. I HIGHLY recommend booking with 2 Wheel Tours!

“Same poor customer service”
Reviewed 5 November 2011

We -6 dutch guys- also tried to go with 2 Wheel in october 2011. They confirmed that they would arrange our self-guided cycling whiskytour. As we had a couple of questions, we emailed them several times from july till end september...such a long technical fault?, phoned them and leaved a message (to contact us by phone) but unfortunately we heard nothing. Meanwhile we already made arrangements for other 'whisky'activities. We decided to cancel our trip also as a result of the negative 'highlight': we finally had telephone-contact with one of the members from the company and he hang up the phone without any explanation...?!? That's the good reputation and excellent service? Sorry but not for us.

“Absolutely exhilarating way to experience a piece of Scotland!”
Reviewed 2 November 2011

Alasdair worked with our travel agent to make the arrangements for our ride. He was responsive and attentive to details giving us all of the information we needed to come well prepared for our ride. My husband, 13 year old daughter, her friend, and I immensely enjoyed our day cycling the undulating roads and byways of East Lothian, exploring the beaches and wandering the remains of Darleton Castle-- all in a non-stop downpour. It was, simply put, a phenomenal lifetime memory!! The wet weather was easy to take in stride because of Alisdair's easy going yet take charge manner that kept things moving while always ensuring the group was safe and happy. The day was filled with energy, breathtaking sites, Alisdair's stream of knowledge that seemed to know no bounds, and his very good humor.

“Knowledgable guide and fabulous scenery”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

I met up with the guide at Edinburgh train station for a day tour around north berwick, though the other customers had cancelled their bookings and I was the only one, the guide was willing to continue with the tour as I was unavailable on the other days, so that was great.
I was first nervous about my capacity to ride a bicycle all day but he was very friendly and accomodating. The scenery was gorgeous along the coast, and the guide knew everything about everything i saw! Plenty of time at each attraction (castles, natural landmarks and gardens) and enough time for a nice lunch in a small town.
Defenitly value for money, nothing more fun than flying through the countryside on a bicycle. perfect day out.

“exceptional vacation....best honeymoon ever.”
Reviewed 31 October 2011

This was literally my favorite vacation of all time. The tour was organized immaculately and communication was easy and professional leading up to the tour. Two wheel tour worked with us to find a tandem that could fit a 6'5" guy which is no easy task. The biking is amazing in Scotland and the routes chosen were excellent and had everything one could want in bike touring. Rest day activities were cool too. We did canyoning and paintball and had a blast. Overall, this is a can't miss vacation. You will not be disappointed.
