Wonderful cottage, lovely decor. Cosy & warm. Clean. Great kitchen facilities. Lovely location. Owners friendly. Would recommend & definitely return.

The Byre Cottage is so beautiful and located within easy access to the gorgeous beaches in North Berwick and the surrounding area. The train station is so close by with easy access to Edinburgh. We stayed for a week in August, the weather was beautiful and had the best holiday ever! The area around the cottage is so tranquil. The cottage amenities are great, very comfortable and it just felt like a home from home. The log fire was lovely! The owners were very helpful and were on hand if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend the Byre Cottage and would book to stay again as its great value for money. We fell in love with North Berwick - a truly gorgeous part of Scotland to visit.

A lovely spot, very peaceful, with corn fields around and about. It was a very good base for visiting sites around The North Berwick area and further afield. The local train station just down the road makes a trip into Edinburgh a piece of cake without having to bother about the car. We used the wood burning stove once even though it was summer as it was not a warm week, this was perfect.

The property was very clean on our arrival.the directions given were spot on and initial access to the property was easy. The property was very spacious with plenty of room for clothes, coats and shoes and tplenty of cupboard space to put away our groceries.

Must sees: St Abbs head and nature reserve, and Ebbcars cafe down by the harbour for freshly caught fish, boat trip to Bass Rock and Tantallon and Dirleton Castle. We loved Seacliff Bay and Yellowcraig beaches.

Fabulous cottage tucked away off the beaten track. Yet still easily accessible to Edinburgh via the train station 500yds away, and beyond with the A1 being only 5 mins by car. Couldn't fail to recommend this place. We will be back that's for sure..

A perfect location for exploring East Lothian and visiting Edinburgh.
You can walk to the railway station from the cottage, although there is a decent sized car-park, then it's a pleasant 25minute trip to take you into the centre of Edinburgh. After visiting the vibrant capital it was lovely to return to the peace and quiet of Drem. The cottage is very well appointed and the owners directly on site, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard and the beds were very comfortable.
The best find, recommended by the owners was a wonderful German/Austrian style coffee and pattessiere cafe called Falko, we visited the one in Gullane several times! Mmmmmm!!
