It is called the Three Cups Inn due to the three local rivers meeting underground underneath the pub. The chef uses local produce to create mouthwatering meals, with attention to detail, each dish is produced using his artistic flair, pleasing to both eye and palate. The food is tasty and affordable. The Three Cups Inn is a great mix of diners, drinkers, family and friends. I visited here with my parents and 2 children. We had a disappointing visit. Having read the reviews perhaps our expectations were too high. No welcome when we came in as there was no one on the bar for the first 5 minutes. Twiddling our thumbs waiting someone appeared rather unenthusiasticly. The food was average but overseasoned. Staff looked like they didn't particularly want to be there. Was an average meal for an average pub, nothing special. Would I return...probably not.

A traditional, welcoming country pub, full of character, serving fine food, wines and good ales. This hidden gem is worthy of a visit, in summer to enjoy the private gardens or in winter to relax by the inglenook fire. Notably the friendly service and food quality has been consistent on each visit over recent months, making another trip to the country inevitably. Recommended.

As my Mum (FranSCM) has said below, this restaurant is brilliant. The whole experience was a delight;

The staff were very personable and made us feel welcome straight away, especially the male waiter who took care of us for the majority of the evening. He gave us as much time as we needed to chose our meals and was more than happy to explain more about the dishes, make recommendations and make several trips to and from the kitchen to explain exactly what was in some of the meals.

The food was all delicious! I had the halloumi and my partner tried some, we both loved it! I also tried some of my family's meals including a seafood risotto, chicken with mustard sauce, mozzarella and cured ham filo parcels and even wild boar (which the waiter informed was a genuine wild boar caught in Poland!)

The whole atmosphere of The Three Cups is brilliant; we were seated in a cosy corner where we felt comfortable and able to enjoy talk, drink and enjoy ourselves with imposing on anyone else's evening and we were able to order, eat and pay all within our own time which made the evening very enjoyable.

I'm very glad we discovered this little place and can't wait to return. Extremely happy to have a place that does such incredible food and such wonderful prices and it is only 10 minutes from our house!
