“Quaint pub but pricey”
Reviewed 11 November 2011

If you want a quaint pub then look no further than the Earl of St Vincent its full of character inside with a large selection of clocks and knick knacks. However if food is your main priority then save yourself some cash and go to any of the local pubs in or around Wadebridge which I am sure will charge considerably less for the same sort of quality food. On our recent visit only two other people were eating so the food arrived quickly, and whilst the main course tasted fine, unfortunately the plates lacked any sort of presentation and I would consider it to be at best described as average pub food. Also even though my wife did not like her starter and it was returned half eaten at no time did the staff bother to ask if everything was OK

“Gorgeous Pub, Excellent Food”
Reviewed 10 September 2011

We stopped in for lunch and liked the pub and food so much that we went back a second time during our stay in Port Isaac. The outside of the pub is covered with hanging baskets of flowers and the inside is decorated with more clocks (most or all working) and artifacts than you will find in most museums. The room arrangement is very cozy with several nooks and the seating is very comfortable. It's worth a visit just to see both the inside and outside, but the food we had was also excellent. My wife had the local Cornish trout (twice) and I had the trout once and the chicken curry on the second visit. The trout was served whole and was a large size. The curry was served on rice with a papadum cracker and chutney. The pub is a little difficult to find but there are signs on the main road and once you find it, there is a nice, large parking lot behind the pub. There are plenty of tables for outdoor dining in a nicely landscaped area.

“A GREAT PUB RESTAURANT THEY ARE NOT CLOSED”
Reviewed 3 April 2011

We visited here a couple of years ago and came on here to check details so could book for may and was shocked it says no longer open. So i managed to find their phone number and called them to find they are open as usual. So everyone take no notice of this . It is a night to remember great food and atmosphere . Loads of clocks surround the walls . We will be back there in may and can not wait.
