“Barneys fish & chips”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2013

Parking is a problem, need to use the municiple car park on the other side of the Co-op. Sit down inside or take away. Usually pretty good fish and chips. Prices reasonable.

“great stop for silver topped wanderers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2013

We, four of us, stop here every 4-5 weeks for a great quality meal. Fish and chips is the best one we have on out tours around the region. Try the other meals too they are just as good, look out for the specials very nice and try a desert, blackberry and apple recommended.

“greasy fish and chips”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2013

I find the reviews of this chip greatly over rated. The fish and chip we had were greasy not very nice at all.We both felt we had eaten something with to much oil on it. would not go back.

“No Frills, Good Honest Food & Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2013 via mobile

Lunch time on a Saturday and I thought it'd be busier than it was but still it was reasonably patronised. We took a seat in the window onto the street to watch the world to by whilst eating lunch.
The menu is basic but big enough. Having decided on sandwiches, jacket potatoes and chips between us all we placed our order with a helpful waitress.
Portion sizes are very good indeed for the money. The food is of decent quality and most enjoyable.
I thought it was a little bizarre they bring your bill chit to you before you've eaten... What if we ordered more, you end up with several prices of paper to take to the till at the end to pay?
For a no frills, no fuss lunch of decent quality and price, you can't go too far wrong here.
In the evenings you can bring your own wine or beer as they aren't licenced. That would help keep down costs for diners.

“Great Fish and Chips”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2013

If you are in the pleasant town of Wadebridge and feel hungry - almost a certainty if you inadvertantly pass Barneys! - call in. The fish was excellent and cooked to perfection; (Rick Stein's of Padstein eat your heart out! ); cheaper too. Service quick and with friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend. Further a more interesting Town than Padstein, a vastly overated tourist trap, with the one exception of Sarah Adam's Art gallery.
