My friend and I arrived at the Bridge on Wool at about 4pm on a Sunday absolutely starving having driven along the North coast and when finally arriving in Port Issac finding everything shut for food. At this point we would have eaten anything, but luck was with us and we ended up eating the really really good roast here. My friend had beef and I had the chicken, both generous portions of tender meat with stuffing and roast pots and the veggies were brilliant, three sorts - string beans, carrot mixed with swede and cauliflower with a cheese sauce. All beautifully presented in their own dish, cooked perfectly. And the cost was £7.99 for two!!!!!!! The staff were very friendly and efficient, and my friend commented that they were obviously happy in their work. The football or rugby was on when we were there, which is not my thing. However, if it is yours you will be in 7th heaven. Highly recommended

Have visited this pub on numerous occasions with friends and family for food. Staff are always welcoming and polite. Food is splendid and brilliant value for money. My toddler loves being able to walk around and the staff always speak to him. We are offered crayons for children to colour and high chairs are available to help yourself to. I would recommend this pub for excellent service and value for money. Real ales always on sale too which pleases the men!!

Went in for a meal and staff didnt come to see what we wanted when we as at the bar.wasnt busy so dont know why.the staff member who did eventually come over was rude, shouted at me from across the pub as i let my 10month old sit on the bar, facing me and arms around him.she said he shouldnt be in the pub and told me to leave as i disputed that if she offered me a high chair,he would be sat in that so i could order.did she even offer a highchair then?no as they only have one which was pna chair for a family already.even though they had finoshed eating and were outside.when i asked to see the manager she said no.i kept on and she said cone back at 7(this was half 1).i could see the other staff member was embarrassed by the older stagf members attitude.they need to be more welcoming with a smile.
I left after to eat at another pub which was very family friendly.i think staff need to be addressed and act professional not just there with a cant be bothered attitude and only there for a job.in this trade, staff need to like their job or the pub just reflects their vile attitudes..i wont be visiting again with that staff member there and im local!!
