This cottage was a wonderful find. The location of the cottage is quiet and peaceful with a fantastic view and ideally situated to be able to visit both the north and south Cornish coastlines. We received a very friendly welcome made even nicer by the cream tea left for us. The cottage is in perfect condition, very spacious and with every home comfort and more.
This is undoubtably the best cottage we have stayed in and will definitely plan to visit again.

“Perfect Polglynn”

Arrived later than planned but this was no problem ("We'll expect you when you arrive").

It was raining when we did eventually arrive after what felt like a long journey, but once inside the cottage WOW.

Our expectations were very high due to it being recommended but it exceeded and then some. It exuded quality, luxury and class. Everything was top notch: Bed Linen, fluffy towels, etc.

The fully equipped kitchen enabled me to be able to make a birthday cake for one of our party. I was able to make use of the washing facilities (quite nice being able to hang washing out in the fresh air). Having said that the tumble dryer was very efficient on the damper days.

Although we went out every day but we could easily have just spent the time relaxing in the cottage. It has TV, DVD and CD, also an extensive library of Games and Books. The bird feeder on the terrace was a big hit, was lovely watching the wildlife coming and going. Amazed to see two magpies on the feeder at one point!! (We didn't make use of the games room across the driveway other than to store some luggage) but noted it had equipment for the garden to enable families to play netball/basketball and possibly football.

Our elderly Mum loved it but she needed assistance between the two levels. (Only three stairs but she said a handrail would have been useful). We mentioned this to Bill and Marian who have assured us that it will be in place before our next confirmed visit next year.

Liked best: Everything! The Sunsets were kinda special though
Liked least: The french doors/windows could be a little tempremental (a certain 'knack' was needed in opening and closing them securely)

“Perfection”
Reviewed 17 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This must be the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The position is perfect on a hill with views from every window. Our hosts have thought of everything and the cottage is very well equipped in every way; we really looked forward to returning every evening after our day out. We certainly hope to return next time we head for Cornwall! Thanks for everything Marian and Bill, wish all cottages were like this!

“Fabulous cottage in a great location.”
Reviewed 30 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Polglynn is one of the most comfortable and well equipped cottages we have ever stayed in. The owners are very friendly and available should you need anything but unobtrusive. A lovely peaceful location but only a short drive to Wadebridge and the north coat beaches. The eden project and south coast also easily reached. The local inn at St Mabyn is worth a visit - excellent food reasonably priced. Our children (6 and 3) loved the play room and there were plenty of games, dvds and puzzles for them to enjoy in the cottage as well. To sum up - a great cottage enjoyed by the adults and the children - I'm sure we'll be back!

“A superb cottage”
Reviewed 27 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We have had a great holiday in Cornwall, and Polglynn Cottage is a wonderful holiday cottage! 5 stars cleanliness and comfort. It felt like at home. It was nice to find everything so clean when we arrived, and a delicious cream tea waiting for us. Our nine-month old baby loved watching the sheep in the field and trying to imitate their bleating. The cottage is not too far from Eden Project, Lanhydrock (National Trust property) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also, there are a few nice beaches in the North-Coast of Cornwall, which you will enjoy more than go to the beaches packed with people. This was our first holiday in Cornwall – we have really enjoyed it and we may be back again soon!

“A tranquil slice of Cornwall”

If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil spot to spend your holiday then you cannot do better than to travel to Polglynn. The property is down a quiet country lane, with no through traffic and enjoys glorious sweeping views out over the north Cornish countryside. Though the property is within easy travelling distance of many north coast resorts, you could have a very agreeable time just sitting on the terrace and taking in the view. The cottage is beautifully appointed with well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. It includes a little playroom for the young (or the young at heart!) The hosts, Bill and Marian, are a very friendly and welcoming couple and have thought of just about everything to make your stay at Polglynn enjoyable. We shall certainly be staying here again next time we head down to Cornwall.
