Stunning location off the beaten track, faultless hotel, incredibly relaxing to use the hotel facilities. All staff extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Jane, the villa manager, did everything possible to help choose a villa suitable for our group and ensured our comfort. The villa was perfectly kitted out with good quality fixtures and fittings. The location is unbelievable with easy access to Polzeath, Daymer beaches which have to be seen to be believed (turqouise water!) and the Padstow ferry. We were lucky to travel when it was very quiet (I was told between the May bank holidays is usually quiet) and so getting around, parking and shopping was a diddle. Highly highly recommend both the area and this hotel/ villa complex. Will definitely be back and may overtake my love of Woolacombe!

Room Tip: Villa 12 is great for 2 families with children but can be noisy so won't do for those wanting a...

I visited St Moritz with my husband and our 2 teenagers (16&18) who are studying for GCSEs and A'levels wanting a quick last minute escape to spend some quality time together (we live in Cornwall). It was perfect. By default as they had only one of the cheaper priced rooms left we also had a ground floor suite which comprised of a bedroom and a spacious open plan livingroom, diningroom and kitchen. This worked really really well for us as a family giving us lots of space to spead around and relax (definately worth paying the extra) - particularly important as the weather was unseasonably horrid for Cornwall. The only thing I would recommend is that you try to book rooms in the same apartment as it was not possible to get to each others rooms as the outside door has a key system - could be difficult with younger children. Staff were lovely, very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. We walked into Rock in the evening which was further than we had anticipated, stunning walk along Daymar Bay. Had I realised how little choice there was there - the pub and another restaurant were closed for a private function (and all fairly pricey) we would have eaten at St Moritz or perhaps walked the other way to Polzeath. Can't recommend it enough.

Room Tip: The suites are well worth the additional cost. The ground floor rooms views are disappointing. Try...

Having been part of a large group of giggly and excitable girls, I had reservations.
I couldn't have been more wrong!
I have stayed in 5 star hotels and none scratched the surface of this welcoming, spotlessly clean, warm hotel.
Staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
We slept like babies in the cosy beds, enjoyed very good food and lovely relaxing spa treatments and fresh (complimentary) milk in the mini bar for morning teas!
Unfortunately the weather was horrid so we didn't get to experience the many local attractions and walks which were on offer, but it just gives me an excuse to go back again!
I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

I visited the St. Moritz as part of a hen party and I can honestly say I have never been more impressed by a hotel. Absolutely brilliant over the whole weekend.
Nothing was too much trouble and they even took us to/from the pub (there were 16 of us so they had to do 3 trips, even that wasn't too much trouble) the spa treatments are absolutely brilliant and all the spa girls are lovely.
Our package was great value for money (it included 3 spa treatments) and the whole weekend was perfect.
We were made to feel very welcome and the hen had an amazing time (which was the whole point!)
All the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable (for example they didn't mind 16 of us sitting around in our robes in reception drinking champagne!!)

If you're looking for a hen weekend to remember (because we certainly all will) then choose the St Moritz you will not be disappointed.

I really really love it here and have been back three times already and have just booked for Christmas 2012 again!

Its a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful, restaurant and bar food is fab, plus there is so much to do either as a family or as a couple and with a Spa onsite its relaxing too!

I have stayed at both the Hotel and hired a Villa and both are lovely, we tend to go around Christmas to avoid the stress of staying at home. Eight of us stayed in a Villa and if you split the cost per family, for the Christmas period I think its very reasonable. The Hotel also offer brilliant rates and offers.

In the area, there are lovely walks, not far from the Hotel you can walk down to Rock and catch the little boat taxi over to Padstow so you can have a couple of drinks and no one has to worry about driving! There is a nice coastel walk to Polzeath and the local town, Wadebridge, a short drive away is small but has got everything you could need, a fish and chip shop, chinese takeaway, restaurants and a small cinema.

The kids love it too as there is a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and for us adults there is an on-site Cowshed Spa - The restaurant and bar which is reasonable, if we are there for Christmas we always book Christmas Day lunch in the restaurant - the food is lovely ...for me its got it all - would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Make sure you catch the little boat from Rock over to Padstow If you book a Villa, ask for one with...

Stayed for 3 nights after booking a special rate for the cosy room with breakfast. Excellent value for money. The cosy room is gorgeous with plenty of space and the ensuite is lovely with all the Cowshed products to use. Had dinner in the restaurant which was outstanding. Used the bar and had food off the bar menu-also lovely. The breakfast is delicious. Everywhere is decorated lovely and has lots of different cool touches. The staff are lovely. Used the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi every day and felt thoroughly relaxed. Lovely walks from the hotel, we walked along the coast to Rock then got the passenger ferry to Padstow. There is a recently refurbished pub in walking distance heading towards Polzeath-delicious food, friendly staff and a pool table. Also close to Wadebridge where we did the Camel Trail on bikes which you can hire from Wadebridge. All in all an awesome break and will be going back in summer so we can use the outdoor pool! Hugely recommended.
