“Very welcoming”

Just had a great weekend at the St Moritz. The modern hotel situated overlooking the Camel estuary comprises rooms, apartments and small houses for letting. Or room was light and spacious on the ground floor of the main building. The decor was minimal and simple, although the flat pack wardrobes detracted from the quality of the finish a little.
The nearby beaches were pristine and deserted, and just the right walking distance. Bear in mind that the steps to the shore are step and slippery.
While we didn't eat in the restaurant, the bar food as good, and he barkeeper recognised he need to host his guests not just serve them drinks.
Would definitely go back.

Stayed in one of the Villas on the complex which was excellent, very clean, good views and the upside down aspect of the villa was perfect with evening breezes on the first floor balcony very welcome on warm summer days. The facilities on the complex were first class; swimminh, health spa, gymnasium to mention a few coupled to excellent restaurant meals and bar food. Priceas are what you would expect for a hotel of this calibre. The surrounding area had easy access both by road and coastal footpaths (which I particularly enjoyed) and access to a local beach just 400 m from the complex. Had the joy of watching a pod of dolphins 'fishing' in the bay next to the hotel, made my holiday.

Room Tip: For a family holiday suggest the villas as opposed to hotel room.

Thoughts after a 3 night stay in a Cosy Room:

- Room was immaculately clean and well presented. Bed was comfortable.

- All the staff we had contact with were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

- Breakfast was the only meal we had in the hotel. Excellent buffet selection and the cooked breakfasts were tasty and healthy.

- Hotel has a jeep that will drive you anywhere in the local area for free. Very useful as there aren't many taxis in the area. Was convenient and saved us a lot of money.

- Next to a coastal path that takes you to a beautiful beach.

- We had a room on the ground floor next to the building entrance. It could be noisy with people coming and going. I would try to avoid having a ground floor room so close to the entrance.

- Lots of children as it was school holidays. Front desk staff told me this was not an issue the rest of the year.

Would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon.

Room Tip: Try and avoid a ground floor room that faces the car park.

Booked a one night spa break here for our anniversary, the price included a 1 hour treatment each in the cowshed spa. Bot the hotel stay and the spa experience were top notch. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating. The room was spotless, extremely comfortable and stocked with cow shed goodies, much to my girlfriends delight! The spa experience was amazing, we both had the full body massage which was excellent. We intended to eat out but as time was getting on we decided to eat at the hotels restaurant and I can say that we are glad we did! fantastic food, great service, all in all a great stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are great, a sea view room would be even better.

Staying here as part of a wedding party we were not disappointed. The basic rooms are a little on the small side but the beds are so comfortable. You're only a short walk to the beach which is stunning. Staff were great and you get the Cornwall vibe that they all enjoy what they're doing.

The indoor pool is a nice touch and the restaurant good value for money. Would surely stay here again.

Nicely situated in Trebetherick and close to Polzeath for the surfers and boarders.
Good weather is a must although the clifftop walks nearby would be really bracing in a bit of "Weather".
The "cowshed" theme for the Spa and its aromas and potions found in all rooms , is a nice touch and is a great marketing tool!
Friendly reception and the duty management are not too important to carry your cases to the room for you with a bit of friendly banter!
The bar staff were helpful and chatty but not intrusive! Great team!
The bar food was good but unambitious , however the restaurant offer was excellent . accurately cooked and well presented by the team of chefs in the Goldfishbowl kitchen clearly visible from the restaurant -- a nice touch!
My duck was nicely pink and the pollack was fresh and not overcooked , quite easy to do when busy !
Breakfast was part buffet and part waitress seved (The same pleasant girl who served dinner--No lying in bed here!!) Lovely poached eggs , again displaying care and attention to the little things that matter so much!
Nice break and nice hotel , Thanks folks

Room Tip: Disabled parking occupied most times so watch out if not mobile

I booked three nights at the St Moritz for our 25th wedding annivesary on recommendation from a friend and TripAdvisor reviews. We had a first floor suite which was exceptional in every respect and we made the most of the self catering facilty provided. The accomodation could not be faulted. We also enjoyed the spa facility and had breakfast in the restaurant each morning. The restaurant was fine and fitted out in an attractive style although some of the tables were small and close together which resulted in feeling a little squeezed in. The breakfast menue good and the staff throughout the hotel were courteous, friendly and helpful. We did not try the restaurant in the evening and I am not entirely sure the ambience would be to my taste for a dinner. Although an expensive three nights it was worth it and all in all a wonderful experience. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel and certainly the suites, either ground floor or first floor, are worth it if you can stretch to it financially.

Room Tip: A suite, preferably first floor for the better view
