This hotel has an aged charm that is matched by excellent service , graceful public rooms and wonderful panoramic views. Rooms are variable, as are prices and were a point of discontent for other guests at the time. The garden floor rooms not great and should be a lower tariff I suspect.
Complimentary tea or coffee on arrival a lovely touch. We had dinner there the first night and had a really good meal. All the different fish we had perfectly cooked. Desserts inventive . All at great value.
The room was very comfortable and a decent size. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable and a leaf could be taken out of Premier Inns book! The sink never drained properly, and wasn’t sorted on reporting. That said every member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would return for sure.More
