Best festure was that bed soooooo comfy hard to get out of in the morning. This place is exceptional and very clean. The staf could not be more helpful and could not have done enough for us. It was very busy this weekend as it was Padstow's May Day celebrations which was a bonus for us. Parking is directly opposite in a public carpark costing about £12 for 24hrs so quite reasonable.

Breakfast was sensational especially the coffee. We did dine in the restaurant one evening. The quality of the food was fantastic although we should have stopped at the entre. The fruits of the sea was huge with such a variety of shellfish. It was a meal all on its own. The turbot was fine but i dont think it is as tasty as some other fish I have eaten over the years.

Overall we enjoyed our experience and are planning a longer stay in Padstow in the future.

Knowledgeable staff, beautifully appointed rooms, fabulous meals, enormous bath, Molten Brown toiletries - what more could I ask for ...... I can not recommend this highly enough. Padstow is quite magical, and I think Rick Stein should be congratulated for contributing to the magic. We will be back!
We also did the Seafood School, but I will review that separately.

We stayed the night above the Seafood Restaurant in Room 2 and were very pleased with the accommodation. The primary reason for our visit was to have dinner, and that was a very pleasant experience, the food and service were right up to expectations. We ended the evening with a glass of rose from Camel Valley, a Cornwall vineyard, what a positive surprise !

During a recent long weekend in Padstow we stayed at St Edmunds House just behind the Seafood Restaurant. The room was spacious and clean with beautiful decor. The bed was comfy and dressed with crisp, white linen. All the amenities that you would expect in high quality accommodation were available, a full mini bar, little toiletries, fluffy white towels and the views from the room were just stunning. Having private parking with the accommodation is so important as parking is such a challenge for Padstow. It was wonderful to wake up and look out over the bay. We will happily return to St Edmunds in the future.

Room Tip: Check in is in the Seafood Restaurant, we just parked briefly out the front whilst one of us ran in...

Comfortable well furnished room and fabulous service. On checking in with Tim he insisted on coming out to the car park and took our big bags all the way up the stairs to our room. We were in a small cosy room but perfectly adequate for our needs.

During our two nights we dined at the Seafood Restaurant and Steins Cafe. Service/Food was fantastic. My favourite dishes were the Turbot and Sardines and my husbands were Kippers for breaky and Dover sole for dinner,

The cost of our stay was expensive but we expected great food, service and comfort and got the lot. Highly recommended.

We knew that this would be good, but our expectations were exceeded. THis is a very comfortable and stylish place to stay. There is a feeling of luxury beach style to the place, its crisp modern and high quality. We stayed in room 7 which was a good size with a great bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We ate in the Seafood restaurant which is a firm favourite. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The only downside is the lack of parking but that aside it was a perfect stay. Excellent and we cant wait to return.

My Wife and I planned a long weekend away at short notice, and chose Padstow in Cornwall where we had visited on day trips over the years.
This time as it was a special birthday so we chose to stay in the Seafood Restaurant. The cost of our stay was to us expensive, but the high standard throughout the Hotel justified the cost..
Our room (St Neots) was at the back of the Hotel, so there was no sea view but we were more than happy with the room.
It was a split level room. the Kingsize bed was in the lower level, and 2 steps up was a lounge area that led on to the Bathroom
Car parking was directly opposite the Hotel and cost £7 per 24 hours.
We dined in one night and although we enjoyed our meal, we thought the cost was too high. .
