We booked a stay in Credis View at the request of our kids who fancied a caravan. I'm so glad we did.
We talked about it all the way home and have planned our next trip already (we only arrived home last night).
The accommodation is lovely and provides everything you need and more - handmade soap, kids toys and even duvets with the kids in mind; I always pack my kids duvets from home, but this trip they weren't needed as my 2 couldn't wait to snuggle under their 'cool, new blankets'.
Melanie made us feel so welcome and gave us a great tour of the farm before we settled in. Her warmth continued throughout the stay, with wonderful morning animal feeding (and cuddles).
The highlight for us was seeing the birth of 2 new lambs,a real treat. The kids loved Mike showing them the tractor and watching him replace a fence!
Both Mel and Mike make you feel part of the farm family, we were genuinely gutted to be leaving. This is so much more than just sonewhere to stay. If you have children, this is a place you have to take them,so many wonderful memories made here together. Thank you Melanie and Mike
Trevorrick farm is an amazing gem of a place. We stayed a week in Curlew Cottage in May with our 7 year old daughter who sobbed when we had to leave. The hosts Melanie and Mike could not be more welcoming, making my daughter feel a real part of the farm, feeding the animals and cuddling the guinea pigs and goslings each morning. She loved walking the lambs and Shetland pony Snowflake. The swimming pool and play facilities are fantastic and the cottage is incredibly well equipped, comfortable and homely. We enjoyed a BBQ in our own private decked garden one evening. The farm is within walking distance of a great pub, The Pickwick Inn, and perfectly placed for exploring all the sights of Cornwall. We drove down to St Ives one day (only an hour) and over to Mevagissy on the East coast one evening. There is so much to see and do close by though making it a perfect base if you only want to make short car journeys or go on foot or by bike. It was peaceful and exciting all at the same time and we will be back!
We had a brilliant time at the farm it was a babymoon/family holiday. We were made so welcome and having a 9 month old at the time it was our first holiday as a family. Our baby loved the animals and we found it was an ideal base to explore the rest of Cornwall. Couldn't recommend the farm enough.
Fantastic farm holidays! After a long journey from London we had a warm welcome from owner Mel; who showed us around. It was like arriving home! The farm is in a great location, and the facilities are perfect. Our 2 and 6 year old really enjoyed it and didn't want to leave!
My family have been visiting Melanie and Mike at the farm for the past 4 years. We stayed in Creddis View the 1st year and have been in Badgers Way for the past few visits. We have always been at Easter and have never been disappointed. Our kids are now 10 and 7 and our youngest can't now remember an Easter when we haven't stayed here. Melanie and Mike are amazing hosts and do all they can to make your stay both comfortable and entertaining. The daily feeding of the animals is a real experience and we have been lucky enough to be there to welcome some new additions to the farm each year - whether that be a calf, some piglets or 2 super-cute black lambs this year. The indoor pool is great and often feels like your own private facility. The location is also fantastic and offers great access to many nearby attractions. As long as our eldest continues to ask us "have you booked Melanie's for next Easter yet" we will be coming back.
We’ve just returned from a few days here and it was absolutely outstanding. My 5 year old loved the farm and the owner Melanie went out of the way to make me and him feel welcome from the first moment when she produced a goose egg that had just been laid! We stayed in the Roundhouse and it was absolutely spotless with plenty of toys to keep the little one entertained and everything you need. My little one loved walking the sheep, feeding the goat, pigs and hamsters - he loved every minute and is already asking when he can go back. It was the perfect break, plenty of stuff nearby to do and see and it’s one of those holidays that we will always remember. Thanks Melanie and Michael. Fantastic.
My wife and I took our 18 month old daughter to Trevorrick Farm and stayed in Serendipity Cottage. We had a fantastic time from start the finish.
The cottage we stayed it was very clean, comfortable and modern. It was stacked with books (both for adults and children) and Melanie (the farm owner) kindly provided several boxes full of toys for our daughter to play with, which kept her entertained whilst we were in the cottage. Melanie also provided a cot and highchair which was essential for our stay.
Each morning (8.30am) Melanie takes everyone, who wants to participate, to feed the animals on the farm, this includes the chickens / ducks / guinea pigs / pigs / sheep. Our daughter loved doing this every morning and when she could hear everyone outside, she'd put on her little wellies and coat and try to get out the front door! This was a really good fun start to each morning and really sets you up for the day ahead.
Whilst every other holiday cottage on the farm was occupied, it does not feel overcrowded or noisy but, to the contrary, it feels as if you have the place to yourself and as the site is well contained away from main roads, it feels very peaceful and a very relaxing place to be.
The site also features an indoor heated swimming pool with a games room which is a great addition to use if the weather is hot and you want to cool down, or, if it is raining and you would rather an indoor activity.
The farm is located in a great location, it is well contained, surrounded by farmland and there is a really nice walk which takes you down to the estuary close by. The site is only a short drive to various beaches, Padstow and other nearby places which are generally very child friendly, and so there is always something to do and somewhere to go regardless of the weather.
The week we were there, the weather was good for 4 days and a bit drizzly for the rest, however, as there is so much to do on / offsite, the weather did not impact our stay one bit.
We thoroughly recommend Trevorrick Farm whether you are staying with children (of any age) or not.
We would definitely come back again.
