The beach has plenty of room with a nearby car park at £4 a day. The tide was out when we visited and it was pretty busy. There are OK toilets just before the beach and a small coffee hut, plus an Ice cream van on the day. We waited over 30 mins for some coffee, but left the queue when we realised we would probably be another 40 mins. The tide was out and the surf was only safe in the farthest corner of the beach, quite a walk if you are trying to watch your children or belongings. There are lifeguards patrolling giving regular warnings. We were told this was one of the better surfing beaches.
