We came over from Western Australia to visit family and put Padstow on our ls of to do things.
We were not disappointed , booked a 2 night package and could not fault the whole trip.
From when we arrived to when we left we have ad a fantastic time. The room was fully equipped with everything you need. Bed comfortable pillows great, food extremely good.

Room Tip: We had room no 1 and 2 both over looked the bay, very nice but little noisy with the boats getting r...

We had a two night stay here in Polzeath, the last room on the ground floor. Like most other reviewers we found the room stylish and beautifully decorated in muted relaxing colours. The large four poster bed was soft but comfy, as were the pillows. The bathroom is huge with large bath and shower and his and hers sinks. Nice bath robes but no slippers.
Fresh milk in the fridge is a nice touch, so much better than the little cartons you usually get but the Rick Stein deli biscuits were rather hard and nothing special.
The only down side of this hotel Is that the walls are rather thin so you certainly hear anybody next door if they are at all loud and definitely try and get an upstairs room so you don't have to listen to other guests walking or pacing about their room!

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms will be quieter and the view is marginally better

Went in mid January for a three-night stay. Hotel was stunning. We stayed in Constantine on the first floor. All the rooms have lovely views of the garden and estuary, though the view is slightly nicer on the first floor given the height. Bathroom excellent - molton brown toiletries were a treat, the walk-in shower with two showerheads was terribly exciting and the large bath excellent. Bed enormous and extremely comfortable. I've always felt the sign of a really first-class hotel is the way it deals with the small touches, and they were spot on here - from lovely wooden shuttered blinds, to the seating by the window to the bowl full of sea-shells.

We stayed on the Winter Break package which represented excellent value for money (bed, breakfast and a three course dinner from anything off the menu all included)

I could not recommend it highly enough.

Having had a noise problem at the Seafood we transferred to this hotel, it's small and perfect. Huge bedroom with bathroom to match with Molton Brown freebies. I liked the real milk in your room fridge, superb idea. All in all an excellent experience.

Room Tip: This will be the place to stay in Padstow, great value for money. The rooms are huge.

We stayed here for three nights in September. We had a ground floor room which was beautifully decorated and the standard of the room is very good indeed. Plenty of room, and a nice patio area. Staff were cheerful and friendly and responsive. Bathroom was of high quality with a great bath and shower. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed in one of the first floor rooms which had a great view over the bay. Waking up each day and being able to look out over the blue sea is something special.
The room was spacious and stylishly furnished and decorated, the bathroom was large and equally well designed.
The staff were very friendly with nothing any trouble to them and the breakfasts served in the Sea Food Restaurant each morning were very good with plenty to choose from.
There was nothing we could fault and we came away hoping we will be back one day.

My husband and I, together with Nell our Flat Coat Retriever, recently returned from a truly wonderful stay at 3 of Rick Steins Hotels, Prospect House, The Seafood Restaurant and St Edmunds, at all of these the standard of accommodation was excellent. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly which only helped to complement our stay with nothing being to too much bother, with this even being the case before our arrival when coming to book our stay ! We ate at ALL of his restaurants including The Cornish Arms, as we have done so in the past, and am delighted to say that the service and standard remains as high as always. We will once again (the 3 of us) most certainly return and know that we will come away again feeling refreshed and valued!
