We stay in East Devon quite regularly, and even though you are spoiled for choice in this part of the country when it comes to great food, we always try and ensure we eat in the Railway at least once. Great atmosphere, fantastic food, lovely staff. What more can you ask for?

After a stressful week myself and my partner decided to head to the railway, after being before I knew we where in for a treat! We whernt that hungry so ordered a couple of starters to share, which where beautifully presented and tasted scrummy! We had 1 main which was the fish and chips! Really nice chips and lovely home made Tartare and beautiful batter! Staff where attentive and we had a lovely visit, we will be returning! My only real critersism would be the parking is really bad but please don't let that put you off!

We wanted a nice family meal on our way back from holidays. Somewhere relaxed with delicious food and that is what we got. Greeted by the owner who helped us park in the small car park and made to feel welcome immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. I had the tastiest burger ever with delicious hand cut chips and homemade coleslaw. Children very happy with their pizza. Lovely place to sit outside on a summers evening. We'll definitely be back when we head past on the A303 again! Recommended to food connoisseurs and people who just like good grub!

Lovely food with a very interesting menu. Great wine list and attentive staff. Sadly we were too full to try the puddings!

Our first visit to this restaurant . A very pleasant experience, food was good, loved the varied menu, would definitely go again. My only criticism - I did think the gentleman that served us could had been dressed smarter. Canvas shoes, scruffy shorts and a striped t shirt fine fine for a beach cafe but not in a restaurant where most of the diners were smartly dressed.
