Stopped in Honiton while we were touring south Devon for lunch and stumbled across Zest by chance. It is 'off High St' but worth finding and visiting. Lovely welcoming service and excellent quality griddled sandwiches.

This is a great place to eat if you enjoy ' proper ' food. Zest cafe have a good selection of choice on the menu for a smallish reastaurant. We really appreciated having fresh quality food cooked for us, such a change from many places where there is limited choice, imagination and cheap ingredients.
Overall very good quality food at reasonable prices. If we could add a suggestion it would be lovely to have the choice of two hot deserts.....and for a location in Devon we would like to suggest apple pie and a hot fruit crumble, both available with clotted cream!!!....probably more realistically custard/icecream!

Had a coffee and tea at decent prices and a breakfast bap that was tasty and about right at £3.75. Place was a bit cold even on a nice day.
Whilst it wasn't done too us, other people who had lattes had a young waitress pass over their glasses with her hand and fingers holding top of glass - that is where you drink from, so is not hygienic: a big no no in hospitality (we have had 3 pub restaurants). It would prevent me from coming here again..sorry.
